How To Change Your Norelco Razor Heads: 1. Turn razor off. Remove plug from outlet and cord from razor. 2. Press razor head release button. Open razor head assembly and remove assembly from razor body. 3. Depress and turn center wheel of frame counterclockwise as shown and remove frame from assembly. Do not force wheel too far. 4. Remove used cutters and combs and insert new ones. Remember: Each new cutter and comb is a matched set and should not be interchanged. 5. Replace frame and turn wheel clockwise 1/4 turn to lock into place. Do not force wheel. 6. Replace razor head assembly back on razor. Place the protective razor head cap on razor to protect heads. Important: If you accidentally interchange the cutters and combs, it could take several weeks before original shaving performance is restored. Replace damaged or worn razor heads with Norelco HQ5 Plus Micro Action Razor Heads only. For maximum performance change heads once a year.

I had a philips norelco 5822 XL its an older model that takes theses HQ5 shaving heads. The local stores don't carry them anymore, And when they did they were in the 40 dollar range, This cost just a little over half and shipping was free. The goods were shipped in a timely fashion and that is that. I can shave with compfort again. With the age of my shaver, I don't know how long HQ5's will be around, I will buy them again from Amazon.com

It may seem like an unnecessary expense, but replacing your razor's heads every year is the best thing you can do. After 365 shaves, the blades do start to dull, even though no physical wear is evident. Replacing the heads gives you a fresh start so that you can experience the closest and most comfortable shave possible.
