This was bought to connect to a small network camera that looks out a window. The cable had to come out under the shutter doors installed on the inside. I found the cable was too thick to fit. Then I removed the outer flexible ridges; these are larger than the part with the wire. This made the cable less thick and somewhat narrower. The outer parts removed easily. This fit my application perfectly with this modification.
