I love this player...,

I loved this CD player so much I bought a second one! One for walking and working around the house and another to take on the road. The sound quality is excellent, the red casing is slick and the design is thankfully sturdy enough for klutzes like me...I dropped the first one on the floor (whack!) twice within the first week, didn't get one scratch either time and it continues to play as well as ever. The only negative is that it does not come with an AC adapter.

Way to go, Philips!,

This is one of Philips excellent cd players. Not too expensive, nice color, great sound with the DBB (dynamic bass boost), and impossible to skip. I throw tennis balls at it while it's playing and it won't skip. Thanks to the 45 second ESP. What it does is collect 45 seconds of music and stores it while it is playing. If the cd gets bumped, it switches over to the music it stored until it can get the cd back on track. And that function is so smooth, you wont get any interuptions in your music. It has good battery life, and you know what level the battery is at because it has a battery on the display with four bars. When the bars are gone inside the battery, that means the battery is dead. Very helpful feature. This player uses two AA batteries.

I bought this CD player for $50! I thought it was great when i first got it. There are some things that could be improved, like the sound level is very low. The DBB is weak and most music distorts when you turn the DBB on. The remote was really cool. I liked the Intro scan feature. Ofcourse this cd player has repeat and shuffle. It has ok battery life. I wish it had a radio and better sound!

I happened to get this CD player at a good discount at an outlet store at a military base. The only difference is mine is green and silver. Anyways, this is a decent piece of machinery. Although it suffers from a bad bass boost, its slim body, easy-to-read display and durability will make it a favorite among many.

I Owned the blue version of this CD player for about a year and loved it. I ended up giving it to a friend and it still works wonderfully. I bought this one as a replacement, it [is unacceptable]. The original headphones hurt and the player was cheaply built. Mine is all scratched up on top and the lid is loose. That is of course expected eventually. The main problem I have with it is that it just randomly shuts off during playback. I tried to tape the open lid button because I thought that I was opening the lid in my pocket but that wasn't it. The lid does sometime open when you don't want it to. I still cant figure out why it won't play but I am not happy with it. The skip protection doesn't work at all on mine either. The remote is pretty cool though. And the hold function is very nice when its in your pocket.

The player souded good and works fine, but trying to find the AY 3170 4.5V DC adapter has prooved to be very difficult, and it seems to eat up batteries pretty quick when I use it at work.
