Very nice antenna. I had exactly like this one for ~5 years already using it with my computer HDTV first Telemann PC card, and later DVICO Fusion USB tuner. Now I got one for my new HDTV downstairs. Works great for my location (5-10 miles from transmitter antenna). I get 17 medium to strong signals of uncompressed HD TV signal. FREE! That's more than enough for me. Comparing to any satellite and cable, and even dish - this (over the air) is the BEST HD quality you can get!
Oh, and by the way, there is NO such thing like "HDTV Antenna". Some advertise it like if it is something "special" about their product - but it is all lies. They are praying on uninformed people and messing up all concept. If you have your old indoor, or outdoor TV antenna, it will work just fine with your new HDTV LCD or Plasma!!!!!! Signal may be weaker than Analog TV, or coming from different direction, and you may need to upgrade to antenna with higher sensitivity (more those cross elements on it) But TV ANTENNA IS JUST ... AN ANTENNA! If signal is strong enough - you even can use piece of aluminum, or copper wire, it will work! So, this one is good for most city dwellers and even for suburbia people (like me). It is safe to get it. It works. And Quality of HD TV will be the best available. Did I mentioned that those HD TV channels are FREE? ... Yepp, they all FREE!

I have tried about 5 non-powered antennas and one powered one which cost about double the other ones. This antenna is by far the best non-powered antenna I've tried. It is not quite as good as the powered one, but it is close enough, and half the price. If you got the cash, buy a powered one. If you are on a budget, buy this one.

Very susceptible to multipath -,

I bought this antenna hoping for better performance than the RCA ANT 1050 that I also own. Much to my surprise, this antenna was not better than the ANT 1050. The signals may be slightly stronger with this antenna, but it is also enormously sensitive to multipath distortion effects.
The main problem with this antenna is this - if someone walks across the room, digital signals from even powerful stations like the local PBS, cut out from the multipath effects. Now add an active toddler walking around the room every few seconds cutting signal in and out. Makes for very aggravating TV viewing. It did pull in a few extra stations during station scan, but those are so weak, they are un-watchable. I'm now back to the RCA - which brings in PBS and the main broadcast stations crystal clear and has the additional advantage of being almost invisible when placed on top of the TV. I can do without the additional stations till I mount a UHF on the roof. BTW - I did experiment with antenna placement. The Philips may "look" big and powerful, but its the RCA that does the job better. If you are near a window facing the broadcast tower, you may even be able to get by with a radio shack bowtie for a fourth of the price (I use that for my bedroom TV near a window)

I had been using an old set of rabbit ears with the hoop.
Reception was OK. When I got this product I was amazed at how much clearer many of the local, low power channels were. I live in an urban area so I don't know how good this would be in rural areas. Great product!

I bought this antenna to use with my Haier HLT71 7-inch digital TV, which resides in my home office. I tried using the antenna that came with the TV, but it couldn't bring in Fox and ABC. This antenna allows me to get those two and more noncable channels. The picture is clear, and I'm a happy camper. I live in the Houston area.

Considering I watch maybe 1 hr of Tv per week, I really did not wish to pay for cable or satellite. But still once in a while you want to watch the news or something..so, I attached this 18-dollar wonder.
I switched the TV from cable to antenna, ran the autoprogram, and now am getting about 7 channels - including 3 PBS stations, and that is really what I want. I am also pulling in Fox 5 from DC, another DC station( Ch.20), and intermittently Fox 45 from Baltimore. I was expecting to pull in Ch 11 NBC from Baltimore, but I live in a ground-level apartment with other buildings and trees and hills all around me. All in all, good enough to occasionally turn the TV on while you eat. In my case I would probably not get better reception with an antenna that costs twice as much. The channels that DO come in have a very clear picture, especially MPT-HD. And hey, no cable bill.... Update 24hrs later: picked up WHUT from DC, both SD and HD. Picture coming in crystal clear on HD ( I have a 720p set, but still..).

I needed an indoor HD Antenna for storm season for my portable TV - in case my U-Verse went out. So tried about 5 different type antennas...and this did as GOOD if not better then them all. And its fairly inexpensive...tried several box style flush mount with no luck...this works well for an indoor antenna.

This is one of the best non-amplified antennas I have ever used, its super easy to assemble and works in my super old house(its considered a historic building). It does get a little bit of interference if you walk/stand in the way of the broadcast tower for some of the farther away stations but you can just not get up until commercials.

The Zenith "Silver Sensor" antenna is a wonderful addition to my no frills old 12 inch Orion television with only one port. Eleven stations including 3 versions of the local PBS channel and two network stations come in very clearly. I bought the antenna thinking that it was hopeless that I would be able to watch anything without cable since we live in an isolated mountainous area. Most of the channels, not available with my cable, come in at 90 - 100 percent in sound and video. At worst, you just have to turn the antenna slightly or move it closer to a window. The antenna looks like it is from a funky early sci-fi setting and I have it positioned above the TV and near a south facing window. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would try this antenna again in other locations.

I tried the Philips SDV2780 antenna, and it was no better than the old fashioned rabbit ears that were 20 years old. I am about 15 Miles from the Antennas, and this antenna did not perform well.
