The antenna works very well. I installed in the attic and it pulls in stations from as far away as 60 miles and does not seem to be too directional. The problem with the description is where it describes the size of the product. The size given is 15.2 x 4 x 27.8 inches. This is a very accurate measurement of the size of the BOX the product comes in. The length was important to me since I was planning to put it inside a cabinet. It turns out that the product itself, when assembled (very easy to do), is 48 inches long with an oblong cross-section of about 3 x 4 inches and a larger center portion. Thus the attic installation. Great product - description needs work!

I placed this antenna on the rafters in the attic of my 1 story house located in the suburbs of a mid-sized mid-west city. I now receive 6 more channels & 98% of the time I no longer experience the interuption of my TV signals (the only exception so far was during our last blizzard.) I am pleased with my investment so far, and greatly enjoy no longer having an antenna sitting in my living room (and falling off the TV stand!)

I actually haven't watched TV for about a year since I mostly only watch a few podcasts and don't want to pay for cable so this was a good alternative, the picture is a brilliant high def picture that is stunning on a HD TV... and I use mine indoors. I think all the basic TV stations are there, and MUCH clearer than they were 20 years ago!

I purchased this to help my family "kick" the cable company habit and I haven't been disappointed. Our Cable company gave us 5 local channels ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS, however, now I know what we were missing. I get 26 local channels now. My PBS and NBC stations offer 3 sub channels that my cable company never gave us and our channels are in 1080i HD not 720p that we were getting. Football games look like I am on the field. I do and will recommend this product to anyone looking to get great HD local channels.

I have mine mounted on top of our chimney for the best reception, and we live in the bottom of a valley in the Rocky Mountain Front Range, so I'm sure that an unobstructed view of the stations will offer more channels and better reception.

Have a semi-remote cabin. Works better than I expected. Got 13 channels, although two were in a language I don't speak, and about 3 were duplicates. We mounted ours in the attic because of the heavy snows, and are very please. My neighbors now have purchased the Philips Antenna too.

This antenna is used in my office (indoors) on the second floor next to a similar height building in Dallas; no problem with reception. Had purchased the same antenna that advertised it was also "VHF"; this one is not, but it seems to pick up the one station that is still on VHF. You might consider this model as opposed to the other one since this one is less expensive; but then I'm not sure if mine works due to the height.

No assembly required and mounting requires only two nails or screws. This works well and I would deem it a great buy if you place it high enough.

I'm quite pleased with the Phillips Digital Antenna.
Since the digital switch-over, picture break-up can be a
problem. But with the antenna the picture and reception is
almost perfect. I find that not mounting it to the wall is
preferable since I'm using it indoors to be able to adjust
it is good.

Have had no problem at all w/ thus antenna. Was going to mount in my attic for altitude, but set up on my entertainment center on the first floor to test. It worked great right there so I just put a couple of picture frames in front of it and let it be. The picture on most stations is sharper than my HD cable. Good stuff.

My only concern for future buyers - if you are going to leave it inside, the dimensions are the SHIPPING dimensions. Once you put it together its about 4 feet long - Just an FYI. Buy w/ confidence.

I wanted a antenna that I possible install under the overhang of the roof that would not be noticeable. I Currently have it installed in the attic and it preforms well with my distribing amp. But I still get drop outs during windy days. So I might still move it outside as planned and see how the signal strengh improves.

We were having trouble getting reception about 40 miles outside of the city, and reception was quirky, such that if the microwave was on, we would lose reception. Well, with this antenna, we placed it behind the flat-screen on the tv stand, and while it is quite large (longer than our 42''), it's relatively well-hidden. It works quite well, and it plugs in for an amplified signal. We're getting more channels than we ever got (though not all channels perfectly, maybe due to location, and that the antenna is inside, behind a wall). I would get this antenna again, though possibly go with a smaller amplified antenna instead, such as one of the normal round rabbit-ears, as this one seems too large for most indoor locations!
