This review is from: Philips SDV4310/27 UHF/HDTV Outdoor TV Antenna (Electronics)
I did not do all of my homework when I bought this antenna. For what it is, it does a very good job of receiving UHF television signals, but I didn't realize the number of stations transmitting DTV on VHF frequencies. The antenna was easy to mount, came with very good hardware, was well constructed, but does not receive VHF signals well at all (it's not designed to).
If you are going to get an antenna to receive over the air television you probably will want an antenna that can receive VHF and UHF signals, not just the UHF signals that this will pull in.

tho close-out, fit the purpose,
This review is from: Philips SDV4310/27 UHF/HDTV Outdoor TV Antenna (Electronics)
i paid only half the list price, the colander-style of reflector is unique, only 6 director elements and the packaging and the marketing both eschew the CEA outdoor antenna coding and gain/rejection/etc specs, so i suspected only a little better than rabbit ears performance. location central florida, less than 70' elevation difference to the major antenna farm apprx. 20 mi distance. hoisted onto mast 25' above grade, with apprx 70' downlead and interior cable to TV. surprise! not only those UHF signals strong as expected but two VHF signals there, and one UHF signal 50° off boresight, clean reception. small directionals like this typically do decent rejection of multi-path ghosting in analog, rarer a problem for DTV. Happy with the performance.
Regards,
