Lasted for 3 weeks only!

The volume level is really low so at the gym I could hear the music playing in the room more than my headphones.

This is really annoying when you're in the middle of a run.

Pros: Outstandingly sweat proof
Cons: Awkward fit

I bought these as soon as they were released (before they showed up on Amazon) as I was desperately looking for a sweat proof pair of Bluetooth headphones. When I workout, I love to listen to music or a book and I love the convenience of a Bluetooth headphones. I own a pair of Plantronics BackBeat 906 Stereo Bluetooth Headphones which I love, but I shorted out two pairs before giving up and looking for something else.

These ActionFit headphones have been totally sweat proof and I have had no problems. I've been on a couple of 6 mile runs with the headphones under a hat - and I can tell you it gets really sweaty under there. I also use them regularly in the gym.

Fit is a bit more tricky. At first I thought I would have to send them back because I could not get them to fit comfortably, but then I read the instructions and realized you have to slide the black part of the headphones through the grey part and physically bend the headphones in order to adjust them. After that the fit was great for walking around, but not ideal for running.

These headphones are meant to block out the ambient noise, but the reality is when you are running they can move so that the block out isn't perfect which leads to a noticeable drop in volume. Also I find they tend to move enough that you tend to get a little swish, swish or occasionally a more annoying clunk, clunk. I have a feeling that if I mess around with them enough I might get a good fit that I really like, but I haven't got there yet.

I fell in love with stereo bluetooth when I was still using a blackberry about a million years ago. I use my BT headset every day for streaming audio, phone calls and podcasts. It has been a long, hard struggle to find a reliable stereo bluetooth headset. My previous attempts were from Motorola, LG, Blueant and a couple others I can't recall anymore. Most of them broke within 6 months. These (the Phillips model) are the sixth different pair I've tried in 3 years. They look promising!

Prior to these I was using the Plantronics Backbeat 906. I really had no complaints unless they touch a drop of water. Then, freaky behavior, including phantom phone calls and eventually would no longer power up. I returned three of those for a refurb replacement (this is a well known defect). To their credit, Plantronics kept sending me new ones but it was annoying being without while they shipped them.

Those Plantronics look almost exactly the same as these from Phillips so I knew I'd like the "form factor". Now that I have been using them for a couple weeks I can say thay are just as comfortable and I really like them. I was in Chicago doing volunteer work during a recent heat wave and was "sweating like a pig". I sweat from my head and these things were drenched. I know, disgusting, right? Anyway, no problems. I am impressed! I like my music LOUD. These are not quite loud enough when I'm in my car on a call but listening to music they are fine.

My biggest problem is that the buttons are tiny and hard to find by feeling with your fingers. Also, you have to press them so hard they come out of you ear so you have to use your thumb to support it at the bottom.

I think bluetooth workout headphones are a great idea and will be very happy when some company gets it right! Unfortunately not yet, not this item. The fit was a little awkward with one earpiece fitting much more snugly than the other one which always wanted to slip out. I fixed this with a headband and they would stay in place for the most part. However, when you do have to adjust them on your head, you will almost certainly accidentally press the poorly placed phone/music toggle button and stop your music.

These complaints would be incidental, however, if they worked right and were durable. First, the volume is way too low to begin with. With iPod and headphone volumes turned all the way up it was just audible. Second, not totally sweatproof. The sweatproof design hinges on sweat not entering your ear canal-- if it gets into your ear canal it has a straight route to the earbud speaker. Well, that happened and now that earbud is shot, playing at about 10% the volume of the other one. Don't know why the plastic earbud cover doesn't have a thin waterproof membrane _protecting_ the actual speaker, seems like that would be pretty easy to do if the volume were louder.

The product is actually pretty well thought-out overall, light, and battery life seems good. Wish I could give it more stars for effort but the fact is I owned it one month (~3 workouts) and now it's useless. Keep trying Philips!

I've had these headphones for 6 months and couldn't be happier. I use them every day when I run and have never had a problem.

They work well in sweaty conditions and wipe off very easily. Even though they say waterproof, please don't put them under running water. A simple paper towel will clean them.

The sound quality is good in my opinion and is more than adequate for running/working out.

They pair easy with my iPhone with no problems. All the buttons are easily accessible and work with my phone.

I have no problems with the fit of the headphones on my head, they adjust easily to fit.

Overall these headphones are great and I would highly recommend them.
