In your ear canal? Not a chance., November 19, 2007
Tried the "in your ear canal" buds and they kept falling out and I didn't like the way they felt. These ear buds fit inside my ears perfectly without going into my ear canal, and they don't fall out. Different strokes for different folks----a lot of people prefer the "in your ear canal" type.
So, how do they work? They certainly don't provide the sound quality and depth that my over the ear and pricier headphones do. But these are excellent for working out, when top end sound is not my main concern. For $10 I am quite satisfied; the sound is much better than the standard ear buds that come with Ipods and MP3 players that provide flat sound response. It does a surprisingly decent job of reproducing highs and midtones, but does not provide rich base. But, again, for workouts and for low price, it's quite good.
Now, if they just weren't this strange neon blue color!

would i recommend it? i actually tried to get another pair., July 23, 2008
the short version: great sound; durable (lasted over a year of abuse); awkward but manageable fit; i actually tried to get another pair, but couldn't find them at the time. totally worth whatever you'll end up paying for it. considering the market, i might go up to $20 or 30, but fortunately (another beauty of these) i didn't have to.
the long:
great sound, especially for what they are. i'm kind of picky about my sound. i used to run sound sound in theater and i'm a singer (as a hobby in both cases, but still). these didn't disappoint. the sound isn't "magical," but for the $13 i paid for them, it may as well be. in my book, it's good if i can't complain about it, and i can't.
i wasn't sure about the electric blue at first either. i do wish i had found a black, but you really don't have to look at them, and it's not really that bad.
they're hearty, too. i use headphones constantly. mostly just mp3 player and computer, but constantly. they go everywhere with me, wrapped around things or just shoved in bags, purses, and pockets. not to mention the small children that get their hands (and teeth) on them. i haven't had head phones stand up like these in a while.
yeah, mine popped off too, after a year of the aforementioned abuse. and then, because i'm a geek, i looked inside 'em, said "oooo, cool," and snapped 'em back together (the whole ordeal took like 2 minutes). they worked just like new after that for several months.
the fit can be awkward, but it's a lot better with the foam pads on. and because they're big, i don't have a problem with my baby brother (i'm a LOT older than him) putting them in his ears. i know they won't get stuck. the big can hurt after a while (a "while" being and hour or more) or laying on the side of your head.
as with all my other headphones, the cord is what finally went. i finally got a loose connection at the base of the left phone, but if it was held in place with tape the sound was still perfect. and i was expecting them to break a lot sooner and the sound was perfect to the very end. if you're nice to them, i'm confident you'll enjoy them much longer.
i went back to the store to get another pair. the only reason i didn't was because they weren't there and i assumed they weren't made anymore.

Great for its price!, February 23, 2008
I just bought this product today and I have to say.. its definitely worth its price. I've gone through several pair of headphones including the original one that came with my iPod. I admit.. i was a little skeptical about buying this but hey, it works great! It's got great sound and is a very reasonable price. I also like the color
