The only downside is that the included 1/4" adapter was flaky and made the audio crackle, but I already had one. I would still say that for the price there is none better, so these headphones get 5 stars.
PS. Like other reviews said, the description is wrong. It does not come with an extension cord, but just one long one.
I wore these full size phones for about an hour per sitting and never had the urge to take them off to give my ears a rest, they are very comfortable; the earshells toggle up/down to match individual head shape, and the fabric covered earpads can rotate to match ear angle. Although these are comfortable to the ear area, it would be an improvement if they, or you added some padding to the plastic part that contacts the top of your head. Assuming you have the volume down low enough, you can still hear the phone ringing or the door bell. The line cord volume control is convenient. I gifted a pair of these to a rap music lover and the observation made was that the maxumum volume isn't as loud as the phones these replaced. I noticed the same difference between these and my mini phones. This is a good thing for anyone who cares about long term hearing loss due to excessively loud listening levels. I was researching expensive earbuds, now I can spend the savings on something else. Thanks Philips.
When I first plugged these into the tv, I didn't think they worked because I couldn't hear anything; I turned the volume of the tv up and finally heard the tv thru the headphones. This tv that I'm using the headphones with is 4 months old, but I have to turn the volume up to full blast on the tv before I can hear it thru the headphones. So I don't think there's an issue with the tv cuz it works well ......... Occasionally, I lose sound with the headphones ........ it's a short period of time, but it's happened several times. I move the wires around that are connected to the ear pieces and the sounds comes back. This is the primary reason I'm giving these headphones 4 stars instead of 5 stars. While not expensive, they cost enough money that the sound shouldn't short out.
Also, after wearing the headphones for an hour or two, my ears hurt ................ I think it's because I wear glasses and there's pressure on my ears & glasses from the headphones ............ not a fault of the product, but it does keep me from wearing them too long.
I like the long cord that is on the headphones --- gives me lots of freedom to move around while watching tv & wearing the headphones.
While these headphones, aren't perfect, I'm keeping them.

Great sound for the price, way better than Beats or some of those other crazy expensive headphones. Only issue is one ear went dead after about a year or so.Published 5 months ago by Greg Jones
