First, let me say that this wall mount is exactly the type of mount I like to use. It is very easy to install and keeps the TV close to the wall.

Personally, I don't like gadgety wall mounts that pull in and out or angle the TV different ways since they are harder to mount so they look level. Those more complicated mounts also don't keep the TV as flush with the wall as simpler mounts like this one. I know that some people really have a need for the more complicated mounts; but I don't think most home users do.

Anyway, the method used by this mount to keep the TV level works great; but, I found that it introduces a new problem, which is why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. The problem is this mount makes it much easier to level the TV at the expense of making it harder to center from left to right.

I guess it just depends on your personallity for which type of mount you would prefer. If you are the type of person that will spend an extra 20 minutes making sure the mount itself is perfectly level, then you probably don't need this anyway - and a traditional mount will give you the added benefit of allowing the TV to slide left and right a bit to keep it perfectly centered. If you aren't great at leveling things on the wall or prefer to just do some minimal measuring before throwing the mount up, then this mount was made for you!

Just to be clear, this mount does not rotate or level from left to right. If you need these things, this is not the mount for you. What it does do, however, is easily keep a TV leveled vertically after mounting, with a clever design.

Setup is also a bit easier with this mount. You do have to find studs and put several screws into them along two strips, but nothing extremely complicated. The package even includes a screwdriver, which is one less tool to find. Instructions were a bit fuzzy and could have been better, but were enough to get the job done, and you can find better ones on Philips' website.

When mounted, the TV is very close to the wall, but does lift up so you can plug in cables. An organization system for cables would have been nice, but zip ties work just as well.

Overall this is a well made product that gets the job done quickly and easily, while solving the common problem of balancing the TV. Recommended.

This is a great mount if you do not need to pivot or swivel your TV. The simplicity of the design to place the mount with varying stud positions in the wall and the internal ball level make hitting the right position on the wall a snap. The weight is remarkably light. The swivel and pivot mount I have is many times heavier than this one and also holds the TV out from the wall much further. It is so easy to install, you can do it by following the pictures in the installation guide. You will need a stud finder if you are installing on drywall like me. And currently, the price for this mount hardly covers the price of the aluminum used to make it (at least I think it is aluminum.

One side note. The warranty is only one year. I don't understand why - there is so little to fail here.

Easy to attach, two screws/anchors, simple directions and as difficult to align as a picture. Although sold by Philips, it can be used on any LCD of similar size, weight and with the same VESA pattern(s).

This is actually an ingenious design for hanging flat screen TVs. I have a 60" LG Plasma hung right now using this item (LG 60PK550) which weighs about 130lbs. I must say that I was worried about it hanging off of two small plastic pieces with a bolt shoved through them, but it's firmly on the wall and I hung on it so I don't think it's coming down. The tv immediately levels itself out, which is very nice but, as another reviewer mentioned, this may make it difficult if you're trying to hang a tv in an area where you need the tv perfectly centered. That said, you can basically center the mount left to right and you're going to be within centimeters of pinpoint accuracy.

Overall, I'm very pleased - the tv is VERY close to the wall. I didn't think you could get a tv so close to the wall. With that, make sure you have either side/angle HDMI ports OR use those fancy twisting HDMI cables because a normal, straight HDMI plug in probably won't work given the very little clearance you'll have behind the tv. It can be mounted so there is 1.6" or 2.2" of space behind the tv. Also note, if you have a power receptacle behind the tv, you may need a flat extension cable or a recessed power box to plug it in, again due to the lack of space behind the tv after mounted. I really like how close it is to the wall though - my other tv mount is big and bulky and the tv is easily 3.5" or more from the wall.

My ONLY reason for giving this a 4 star review is due to the TERRIBLE instructions. It's all pictures (seriously), with maybe 20 words throughout. What's most interesting is, where they actually give you some word instructions, it's in areas where it's not critical. So, here's what I recommend - THOROUGHLY study the instructions. Go to sleep, wake up and read through them again in the morning. Walk through each step as a "practice" to make sure everything is understood. Looking back on it, it's pretty straight forward; however, there is a lot of hardware that you won't use based on your specific configuration and the 3-year-old approach to picture instructions just wasn't a good idea. It isn't HARD though... just study it and make sure you've got it down before mounting.

This is a very easy way to install your flat TV. Not the best, not the worst. But just plain simple.

We mounted a 32 inch TV on this in our room. It will take a 32 inch TV no problem, but a small amount of the "arc" goes beyond the edge of the tv ... so if you don't mind a little overhang over the edges of your TV (or plan to upgrade at some point) - then you can mount a 32 inch TV too.

If you want a simple and easy way to install - then this is it. It just doesn't do anything else. No tilt or pan, and it can leave arcs on your wall if you are not careful. Otherwise, a snap to install and mount your TV.

This is my 3rd and by far the easiest TV mount installation I've done and
it is by far the quickest due to easiness
It took 15-20 minutes TOPS from start to finish

Has a ball bearing in it to insure it is level

After installed its smart design enables you to pull out bottom of TV to access cords

If you need to remove TV from wall you can do so w/out tools in a minute or less.The TV just literally can be lifted off

Keep in mind tho this is a FLAT mount, it will NOT tilt for you

It is secure as well or i would NOT have my big screen TV on it

What a great product. I shopped around and looked at a ton of different options in and out of brick-and-mortar stores. It was inexpensive (thank you Amazon), was EXTREMELY easy to install, and made leveling the mount during installation and the TV follow installation very easy. The mount actually has a ball bearing you use to visually level it when installing the mount on the wall, and then to level the TV once hung you can eyeball it or use your own level.

As an aside, a stud finder (and knowing how to use it) is a must.

Anyway, this definitely beats anything else out there for flush mounts or tilt mounts. STRONGLY recommended.

This is the second one I have purchased. The first was for a 55" and the second I used on a 60" television. This is a great, simple product.

This is exactly the type of mount I needed to mount my 47" LG LCD to the wall in our living room!

The pre-drilled holes offer flexibility in finding and mounting to studs in the wall. The ball bearing that assists in leveling the mount is a nice touch, too, although I had to tap the mount a few times to get the ball to move.

Instructions, as others have pointed out, are a little on the weak side, but I was able to put the mount together in spite of them.

I highly recommend this outstanding product - it's perfectly suited for my needs!
