5.0 out of 5 stars Ode to a compact brush
I really love my Sonicare
But there was just one flaw
There were no extra compact heads
To fit my little jaw

According to the trusty guide
In 3 months you must change
So when I couldn't get a spare
I thought it rather strange

I had to use the standard head
To maintain my hygiene
I couldn't trust a worn-out...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product - High cost
There is no doubt about the quality of the Sonicare product. It is well designed, works very well and is durable. I have owned mine for 4 years and the device still works like day 1.

My gripe: Why does a replacement brush head have to cost an arm and a leg?

I always try to use my brush head 3 or 4 month to make the price for replacement somewhat more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ode to a compact brush, March 24, 2008

I really love my Sonicare
But there was just one flaw
There were no extra compact heads
To fit my little jaw

According to the trusty guide
In 3 months you must change
So when I couldn't get a spare
I thought it rather strange

I had to use the standard head
To maintain my hygiene
I couldn't trust a worn-out brush
To keep my molars clean

The bigger brush just didn't fit
My mouth must be too small
Thank goodness they now stock this one
So I can reach them all

This smaller brush gets to the back
Back where it's hard to reach
It really helps me to avoid
My dentist's irate speech

This fits the Philips FlexCare brush
It's not for the Elite
So stock up now, in packs of three
And now this rhyme's complete

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal!, July 8, 2008

This review is from: Philips Sonicare HX6023/90 ProResults Compact Brush Heads, 3-Pack (Health and Beauty)
I ordered the Philips Sonicare ProResults Compact Brush Heads, 3pk and the Philips Sonicare ProResults HX6013 Brush Head Standard 3pk. They were $24.99 on Amazon and they arrived quickly, no tax or shipping. In stores they sell for at least $31. Can't beat it--no gas to the store and less expensive. The Sonicare is "the" best toothbrush and both heads are great. The compact fit smaller mouths best.

2.0 out of 5 stars Brush head quality inferior to previous ones, November 25, 2009
I've owned my Flexcare unit for about a year and a half. It's been alright, nothing spectacular since I've previously had various Sonicare models over the past 10 years. The Flexcare handle smells awful because it is made of soft rubber and not hard plastic, but aside from that, not too many complaints.

The problem I have is with the newer replacement Sonicare Flexcare heads that say "ProResults" on them. These have softer bristles and are of cheaper quality. And as if that's not bad enough, Sonicare has removed the date stickers that are useful in reminding us when to replace the brush heads and instead have a blue colored section of the bristles which will turn to light blue and indicate that it's time to change the brush heads. Something is wrong because the brush head indicator notified me that it's time to change the brush head even though it was less than two weeks old. Just to make sure that particular brush head wasn't defective, I tried another brush head and had the same result, about two and a half weeks. I brush my teeth with the Flexcare only once a day and just for the two minutes, so I'm kind of curious why this is happening.

My reasoning is Sonicare made the switch to the blue indicator to trick users into thinking that the brush head should be replaced prior to when it actually should be replaced. This is an awful business practice; the Flexcare system is already expensive enough, having to change brush heads every month or two months is just ridiculous; it negates what makes the Flexcare somewhat more cost effective. That being said, once my third brush head is finished, I'm finished with the Flexcare. I will either go back to a "lower model" Sonicare or make the switch to Oral-B or Ultreo.

4.0 out of 5 stars CAUTION: As soon as you receive your new heads, December 11, 2011
This review is from: Philips Sonicare HX6023/90 ProResults Compact Brush Heads, 3-Pack (Health and Beauty)
while you still have all the packaging and paperwork, test each of them on your handle for a few minutes to see if any come loose and fall off, which a certain percentage do. Then, with all your info, including the model number and serial number (date code) from the bottom of the handle, contact Philips for replacements. They are already costly enough: you shouldn't have to do what some purchasers here report, and just throw away the defective ones. Philips needs to know about these defects. They are not acceptable!

3.0 out of 5 stars Usually good quality... but not always, April 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Philips Sonicare HX6023/90 ProResults Compact Brush Heads, 3-Pack (Health and Beauty)
I ordered these replacement brush heads for my sonicare toothbrush. One of the three brush heads would continuously fall off of my electric toothbrush after about 30 seconds of use. The others were fine. I contacted Sonicare about the issue they were hesitant about replacing my one defective brush head, asking me to return it to the store since it is not under warranty. It had been months since I bought this pack because I replace my brush head once in three months, so returning it was not an option. After giving me the runaround (saying they cannot help, then asking me for serial numbers, model numbers, etc) they finally agreed to send me a replacement. Watch out for questionable quality and hope you don't have to deal with Sonicare's tentative customer service.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Philips Original, paint rubs of. questionable product, April 8, 2011

What's not adequately clear from the product page is that the products we received are not Philips original. After just a week of use the print on it is now smeared all over the shaft. I have no idea how the durability will compare to OE?

4.0 out of 5 stars unnecessarily expensive, November 24, 2010

What can I say. My son and I have small mouths and these work great. However, why does Philips find it necessary to charge so much for these pint size toothbrushes. Do I like Sonicare - yes, after months of using a regular tooth brush because we were recovering from a flood, I once again experienced the smoothly clean teeth. However, these brushes should cost 1/2 as much. This is a luxury item at this price. After all these years, hasn't Phillips made enough off us? This is a luxury item that will be among the first I leave if money gets any tighter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size, October 24, 2008

Love the size of this brush! Makes it easy to get behind the front teeth, and in all the nooks and crannys that a full-size brush will miss. The small size does mean it takes a bit longer to brush, but that's a minor issue. Wish it had the same feature as the Braun system where the bristles turn color when it wears out. The Sonicare set comes with a set of labels so you can mark them as to when it's time to toss (they recommend every three months, but you can usually get 4 months out of it).

5.0 out of 5 stars Superior to the old style brush heads, and Cheaper Too!, March 23, 2009
These new heads, which fit ONLY the new Flexcare and ProResults models of brushes, are superior to the old Elite style brush heads in several ways. The standard head remains the same size and shape as the old heads, but adds the following:

1. No more old toothpaste/mildew/mold/germs collecting in the base of the brush head! By far the most unpleasant aspect of the old Sonicare brushes, this problem is gone with the smaller, simple to rinse off ProResults heads.

2. New "indicator" bristles let you know when it's time to change. A common feature in manual brushes, it's nice to see this on a Sonicare brush head.

3. Less waste - there is less bulk to the new ProResults heads, meaning much less waste and more environmental benefit.

4. Best of all, the new models are actually CHEAPER than the old models. You get a 3 pack of brush heads for what 2 of the old brush heads costs. They're still more expensive than manual brushes, but its worth the price for the superior brushing experience.

Overall the new brush head system is great - just make sure it fits your handle. You need a Flexcare or ProResults Sonicare handle to use these brush heads (sorry elite and essence users!).
