Philips UHP Zenith/LG RPTV replacement lamp

I easily took apart the Zenith HDTV and installed this myself. It worked great. Took about a half hour to 45 minutes. There is a procedure to decrease the lamp intensity and reset the service life timer (10,000 hours)that was not in my manual. Call customer service for details. Its all done with the remote and front TV buttons. On my set, the picture was brighter but still had yellow circle in center. Called customer service listed in manual and found that certain models of Zenith and LG HDTV's with a DLP light engine are covered under a class-action suit. They set up a vist by a local TV repair who installed a new DLP light engine with lamp included. Cost of part - $1500 but everything was absolutely free to me. TV is essentially new now (only the tuner remained) and rivals a new LED HDTV for picture quality! Offer expires sometime in 2010 so don't delay checking. My TV was almost 4 years old when repaired!
If you just need the light, the average person can change it himself.

I was hoping this would replace the bulb in my Zenith D52WLCD. It was a perfect replacement and was easy to install. Shipment was quick and the price was right!
