I received my first Phillips Light Touch #1 Oval Cushion Brush in 1980. I used is for 7 years and replaced it with the same brush. Through the years, various other brushes were purchased when I would forget my Phillips or something, but NEVER have I found one that I loved more. I now on my third Phillips in 26 years!

This brush does not tear your hair. I have had extremely long hair (past my waist) and short hair (shoulder length) through the years and have been happy with it for whatever style I was in at the time. The Phillips gently guides through hair without tangling, tearing or breaking. If there was ever a hairbrush to be excited about...this one is it.

I too, have used these for over 10 years. I have many other expensive salon brushes gathering dust. Save for one huge, round boar bristle, this is the only brush my daughter and I need for our long hair. These brushes are great for flattening out as it grabs the hair without tangling. The give in the bristle is not too hard, and not too loose. The ergonomics are right on as well.

My husband and sons also use these brushes exclusively. It also works well after the shower for the boys on their thick, wet, curly locks.

We have the #2 small sizes for the cars, backpacks and travel.

I tried this when working at a professional beauty supplier in 1980 and haven't used another brush since. I have naturally curly yet fine hair - works great. Also works wonders on my 8 year old twin daughters who have fine hair.

NOTE: So durable, I still have the original brush which is now 27 years old. Amazing!

My mom and I have been using this brush for the last 20 years and we won't use anything else. She has thick hair and I have very fine hair and we both love it.

I'm happy to see them on Amazon. Now I can stock up!

I have used this style of brush for over 12 years now. It's the only one my girls and I like. We all have long, thick hair!
Very comfortable..doesn't pull the hair at the scalp. They used to carry it at Sally Beauty Supply..then they discontinued it!

I have owned this brand of hairbrush for the last 5 years and love it. It is not too hard on the scalp, but firm enough to 'comb' through thick hair. My friend introduced it to me -- she has thin, fine hair and loves it too. This is the only kind of hairbrush I use for brushing out -- I use a roller brush for hair dryer styling, but this natural hair brush is just right for everything else.

I have seven daughters... the youngest, age 3, has long beautiful wavy hair. We have always hated hair brushing moments in the past... but that has seriously changed with this brush. It glides through the hair, detangling effortlessly and painlessly. My daughter now *asks* to have her hair brushed! I love it too. This brush definitely gets five stars from me!

I have long, thick hair and the last two hairbrushes I had broke where the handle meets the actual brush while I was brushing my hair. At that point, I decided I was going for a one-piece hairbrush construction, searched Amazon, found this brush and ordered it. I have to say that all the reviews are spot on. This brush gets through my hair, it doesn't tear my hair, it doesn't put knots in it and makes brushing my hair a joy. Give this brush a try, it's loads better than the cheap hairbrushes you're picking up at the drug store. And I got it quickly too.

Anyone with long hair needs this brush!! It does not break your hair and any knots are easily brushed out!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this brush!!!

I have had my large Light Touch Phillips brush for nearly 20 years and it is still in great condition. I also had the smaller version, someone stole it!! Having long thin hair, this brush does not pull nor damage your hair. The bristles feel wonderful on your scalp, almost like a massage. I was stunned, then tickled to learn Amazon carried this line. No one, and I do mean no one carries this brush locally. I have a 10 year old son that wants a Phillips brush and I am going to update my old one!! THANKS AMAZON!!
