This review is from: Philosophical Apprenticeships (Studies in Contemporary German Social Thought) (Hardcover)
I have tried to read about great thinkers before, but rarely have I encountered so many names that get passed over so quickly. Plato is dismissed as lacking any doctrines. He merely tried to get down in writing what had been said by thinkers who had impressed him. Plato is not even listed in the name index, which has enough names to fill three pages. The prejudices that people live by get poured out like old bong water.
