This review is from: Philosophical Foundation: A Critical Analysis of Basic Beliefs (Paperback)
This book is a well written outline of basic philosophies that can be understood through reason and good use of the mind.
Professor Gangadean's teaching method in class gives for a more direct puncture of common belief systems. Unless this book is read and thoughtfully applied it does not fare as well as a lecture.

I have read selected readings from Philosophical Foundations and have found it to be helpful and clear. I suggest anyone wanting to and willing to find more meaning in their lives read this book.

Biased and myopic - This is not a "Philosophical Foundation" and is lacks objectivity regarding "Critical Analysis",

This review is from: Philosophical Foundation: A Critical Analysis of Basic Beliefs (Hardcover)
This book is a one sided (presuppositional) view of Philosophjy. The presuppositions are that god created the good (and did not create evil); is infinite, eternal & unchangable. If you want to learn comparative philosophy and have an understanding of the historocity of philosophy, this is NOT the book. If you want to study apologetics from a christian viewpoint, this book is a good starting point. Caution: Surrendra Gangadean founded (and is President) a religious organization called the Westminster Fellowship Inc. He is defacto pastor and the organization is a defacto church. There is nothing wrong with a 'minister' writing and teaching. It is surreptitious when there is an inherent bias in a book that is used in public education.
