5.0 out of 5 stars Best survey of Western Philosophy ever!

I did not get this book in that great of condition but that does not change the knowledge the book has to offer. It is a good read for the curious.

Baker and Bonjour lead you step-by-step through a survey of western-tradition analytical philosophy, full of humor and insight, excellent primary sources, and unbelievably lucid commentary. Their method is very accessible, and even a raw beginner can quickly find him/herself immersed in philosophical inquiry without feeling lost. They take a topic the average American finds very esoteric, and show not only how relevant it is, but how anyone can do it. An excellent choice for someone who wants to get a grip on philosophy but feels daunted by traditional approaches, or wants to learn on their own.

This review is from: Philosophical Problems: An Annotated Anthology (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
So the product was listed as new, which upon inspection it wasn't b/c there was a tiny bit of usage shown on the edges of the cover of the book. Other than that though, it was clearly in excellent conditions as there wasn't anything bent or written on anywhere so overall I was still content with my purchase. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars First time buying a text book online, September 25, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The book was great for the price. It was cheaper than at the book store. There was some water damage, but the book is still usable. When I had a question about the book, I got an answere back about it quickly. I would do this again.
