I recently developed an allergy to benzoyl peroxide after using it for about 10 years, so I started looking for gentler, benzoyl peroxide free products, and I definitely found my replacement!
Background info: I am 25 years old, and have/had moderate acne with some scarring. I have been using this system for about 1.5 months now, and I am hooked. Since I started I have gradually been eliminating my whiteheads, and have not had any major pimples. Additionally, the red marks left behind by previous breakouts have drastically faded. The amount of product you get in this travel size kit is minimal. That being said, it does not require much product to get results - I have still been using the same kit for about 1.5 months and am only now running low on some of it. The directions for use is both on the box, as well as on their website ([...]) -- pretty basic, really. I tweaked it to what worked best for my skin. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an effective alternative to benzoyl peroxide - in fact I have recommended this to friends!

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but the Completely Clear acne treatment system from Philosophy is skin's best friend. Especially sensitive skin (like mine). I especially love the facial cleanser because it's in a foam form and doesn't leave behind any messy residue. It's very light and refreshing. The all over acne treatment works really well to treat zits but only use a tiny bit so it doesn't over dry. The spot treatment is really easy on the skin and a little bit goes a long way to treat zits. Lastly, the clarifying lotion works to treat and prevent breakouts. As with the other stuff, only put a little bit on the zits, this stuff has retinol in it so it might sting a little bit. Overall, this is one of the greatest acne systems I've ever used and I'd recommend it to anyone!

I tried this regime but, did not get the result I anticipated. Its a confusing regimen also. The foaming cleaner is ok but the other gel, retinol cream and acne treatment are questionable.
