Certain printings of HardPress edition incomplete.,
By J.C. Fregnan (Mexico City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Philosophy of Misery (Paperback)
This review is of the HardPress edition of Proudhon's text. The copy I received (directly from Amazon) was incomplete: it cut off at page 112, in the middle of a sentence, with over three chapters of text missing from the book. In addition, it includes no copyright page with information about the original date of publication, for instance, or about the translator, or when the translation was completed.
I contacted Hard Press about the problem, and they were quick and gracious in providing me with a refund. They responded that they had outsourced the printing for this edition. So while I can't recommend the product itself, the publishers do seem to be concerned for their consumers. |
