Like a new face.,

This is an amazing product. It is gentle on the skin, and I have very sensitive skin, yet removes the tired, dead, and darkening follicles. I can't believe how much lighter and younger my skin looks after a peel. It smells nice and doesn't cause any itching or burning, on my skin at least. This is a must to use before big days like weddings or fabulous dates, or when getting back from a grubby camping trip. One thing, a day after the peel my skin looks a little red/blotchy in places but the day after that it's stunning so if you are indeed purchasing this for a wedding, etc. use it 2 days before the big day or else you might look like a splotchy bride. Most of Philosophy's products are fabulous and if you're going to go for this, it works well with the Real Purity facial cleanser to use right after the peel, and then the Hope in a Jar moisturizer after that.

Part of my monthly routine!,
By This peel can be used by all skin types and it a very gentle peel. You have to make sure that you don't get the solution on your eyebrows though. If it's left on too long (like over an hour) it will start to dye your eye brows. But if you use for the recommended time (less than 5 min) you shouldn't have a problem. This peel is great to detoxify your skin. And if you use it right it really exfoliates. You have to use the 'scrapper' that comes with the product. Do not simply wash the peel off. You have to scrape it off. When you do this it removes all of the dead skin. After you have scrapped as much as possible wash your face very well. I find that Purity by philosophy works great. I use this peel about twice a month. I rotate between this and philosophy's MicroDelivery Peel, using one every week. If you are skeptical about buying this I would go to a Department store and ask the lady at the philosophy counter to do it on you. I first had it done at Nordstrom loved it. That way you can see the proper way to use it and you can see if you like it or not.

ACNE SUFFERS MUST GET THIS,
By I went home that night and did just as she said. I was amazed to see that the painful cyst had risen to the surface and I was able to relieve the pressure. This is a truely amazing product and would recommend it to anyone who has this same problem

difficult application, mediocre results,

I think this product is more trouble than what it's worth. I'm a low-maintenance person so having to go through and bust open a capsule, mix it with a measured amount of warm water, smearing that goo all over my face, then trying to apply this thick white cream on top of the goo..? It just didn't work that well. The white cream just did not go on easily with the goo on my face. The two things are supposed to react, so after a few weeks, the jar with the white cream seemed to have been ruined because I would have to dip my fingers or whatever back into the jar to get more. After the treatments I just felt like my face had been chemically treated. I didn't notice it doing anything special. I would not buy this product again, nor would I reccomend it to my friends. However every other philosophy product I've used has been great. This one is just not for me.

Great results; messy to use,
This review is from: Philosophy The Oxygen Peel (Misc.)
I did not see any visible results until three weeks after using this product. Once a week for three weeks of use has changed the look of my skin. I noticed this morning that my skin looks clearer and has a glow to it. I've also used Philosophy's Purity cleanser. Maybe it's the combination, but I am definitely seeing results. The only negative is that it is messy to use. Three steps, drippy goo and foam on your face, 3 minutes, etc. But if you are willing to dedicate some time, you won't be disappointed with this product. It may take some time before you notice anything significantly different but I am very pleased with the results.

Just Didn't Work for Me,
This review is from: Philosophy Oxygen Peel Kit (Misc.)
I am on a mission to take better care of my skin and starting a peel routine was something I thought would be nice for me. This product has good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. What I was looking for was something that would help with the mild breakouts, even out my skin tone, and just create a healthier appearance. Although the product doesn't advertise that it would help you with acne, it does say it will even out skin tone and give you that glow. Based on what I read from the reviews from here, I did the peel three days in a row and I even tried it on my neck too.The first thing you do is break open a capsule with powder in it and pour it in this plastic cup that comes with the kit. Then you pour warm water in the cup about ½ way and let it sit for a minute. After a minute, the product forms a gel that you rub on your skin. The next step would be to use this cream and rub it on your face, which creates a foam. The foam tingles at first, which I thought was nice because it meant that it was working. My first impression of the product was that it was messy to use as the gel would drip and get on the counter or run down my face. The last step was to take this little stick and wipe the foam off your face like you are shaving. This is to help with the exfoliating process, and I noticed my skin looked good right afterward, but the next day, my skin looked terrible. I did this for three days in a row and I waited for about a week before I decided to write this review giving the product time to make a difference. The only difference I saw was that my skin was very blotchy and more breakouts than normal appeared, even on my neck, which never happens. I am giving this product one star because it simply didn't work for me and made my skin worse. Not sure which one I will try next, but I definitely will not use it again.

Good results, fun to mix up, not for everyone,
This review is from: Philosophy The Oxygen Peel (Misc.)
I actually responded well to this, and I have breakout-prone skin. I have VERY fair skin and wear plenty of makeup (I love a fully made-up face, it's not to "cover up"). Under normal circumstances, it seemed to deep-clean my pores. I would wash my face, and it looked clean, but when I scraped off the oxygen foam, I always got makeup and lots of dead skin cells out. It left me exfoilated but was gentle. It's good for fair-skinned gals- it makes your skin look so even and perfectly white, very Victorian. Some would say goth. :) It was fun to mix up the gelatin like mixture from the capsules into the little cup, apply the oxygen foam, work it in circles on my face for a few minutes and then scrape it off. Two sides to the scraper- one really gentle, the other a bit stronger. I personally liked the strong side. I would say this is the philosophy product that made the biggest difference the fastest in my face. It's an unusual product and not for everyone. Beware- it will bleach things it touches. Hair, towels, clothes, etc. Keep that in mind.I adored using this when I self-tanned, too. It was the ONLY product that could remove the blotchiness that eventually happened when the self-tanner wore off unevenly (which was about every week or so). It was great to apply my self-tanner to a "blank canvas" each week after using this.

I can't wait to add this to my facial regimen! I was given an oxygen peel at Macys by a Philosphy consultant and was amazed at the instant results. This peel truly makes your skin brighter and soft as a babies bottom. No lie! Buy it, you will not be disappointed!
