5.0 out of 5 stars Smells that come right out of the oven!
I love this product! I gotta give kudos for the creators of this line at Philosophy. Normally, I don't go for the fancy-schmancy bath products and such but cinnamon buns??! I knew I had to try it. After doing so, I liked it so much that afterwards I got a couple others too. They're really good to treat yourself once in a while.

3.0 out of 5 stars Yummy, but Not Worth the Money
"Cinnamon Buns" smells great - exactly like walking into a Cinnabon store, but without the calories. So cheers to Philosophy for selling products that behave exactly as advertised.

But I just can't get past the $16 price tag. I have no problem with spending a lot of money on beauty and personal care, but it has to be proportional to the benefit. Expensive...

Now, I'd smelled a few of Philosophy's other "food" products before but nothing as dead on as this one is. It does smell kinda like a bakery. I got it over the holidays which made for lovely winter showers. The smell is amazing. I gotta say, it's not as long-lasting as they claim it is but it's quite, quite pleasant while it does last. Worth it, really.
On a more personal note, I like it much better as a body wash than as a shampoo and conditioner but that's just because my hair is unbelievably curly, frizzy & rebellious. I assume you'll like it if your hair's normal. However, on the occasions that I have used it on my head too, I do smell like cinnamon all day long.
Overall, of all of Philosophy's creative-smelling 3-in-1 products I'd have to say that this is the very best one. I enjoyed the formula and I liked, make that LOVED, the smell. I truly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yumm!, February 14, 2006

I got a mini bottle of Cinnamon Buns in a philosophy.com order, and I was surprised how much I liked, since I'm not a huge cinnamon fan.

I use the 3-in1's when I travel, and I find it depends on the local water whether or not I need extra conditioner, so I bring a bottle of leave in conditioner with me. The philosophy shower gels really do a nice job of not drying out my already dryish skin, and my hair is always super shiny when I use philosophy 3-in 1.

That said, this is one of the best smelling philosophy shower gels, and if you're looking for a deal, QVC sells 32oz of several of the philosopy shower gels ( including cinnamon buns) for $22.00 to $24.00

Expensive makeup and haircuts, for instance, make a huge difference in how a woman looks and feels, and therefore are worth almost any price.

But a nice body wash simply floats down the drain. The smell, unlike perfume, doesn't linger. The one second of scent that I get when I'm washing up simply does not justify the cost of "Cinnamon Buns" - and I LOVE cinnamon scent. In fact, it kind of makes me cranky in the morning to pick up the bottle and think about how much I spent on it :) As long as I can still get good-smelling but less expensive body washes elsewhere, I won't be buying a Philosphy body wash again.

Still, everyone has different priorities. Some people find a good body wash to be worth the cost, and that's a personal choice to make. If the price tag doesn't phase you, then there is no real reason not to buy this product!

Also, "Cinnamon Buns" has caused no negative reactions with my sensitive skin, which is always nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Am A Cinnamon Buns ADDICT, June 21, 2004
This review is from: Philosophy Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath, 16 Ounce (Misc.)
I growled at my sister when she asked to borrow it; I love her, but not enough to share this! $1.00 an ounce seems high to you? It won't after the first time you use it, and the 16 ounce size lasts forever. Indulge yourself and enjoy!

I have very sensitive skin and can use this as either a bath gel or bubble bath, and shave with it and I've never had a problem. The lather it produces with a bath pouf is amazing.

The scent is startling--it really does smell like cinnamon buns. It doesn't stick with you forever, which is good, as I don't want it to clash with my perfume. If you use it in your hair, the scent lasts longer but is subtle.

I do have to use a conditioner if I use this as a shampoo, but like others have noted, with curly, frizzy hair like mine, extra strength conditioners are a fact of life anyway. For straight, normal/balanced hair, you can probably get away with this alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Treat!, March 26, 2006
This review is from: Philosophy Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath, 16 Ounce (Misc.)
This is a sweet treat! It smells good enough to eat. It also leaves my skin smooth and soft. It works good as a shampoo on my thick, wavy hair too. Cinnamon Buns 3-in-1 is a wonderful product and everyone should buy it. Totally worth the $dough$. Ha Ha.

I think this product smells great, but does not do well as anything but shower gel. I tried using it for shampoo (made my hair dull) and as bubble bath (did not make bubbles). For the money, I wasn't impressed.....

With almost everyone's favorite smell being chocolate or cinnamon, I bought some cinnamon products. This shampoo and shower gel is awesome-you must try it! Susan Lauer

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Cinnamon Smell, July 18, 2010
The smell is the best thing about this soap. It's very true to what you'd expect. This is one of the more moisturizing of Philosophy's soaps. It's not quite as frothy as some of their others so if you care about lots of bubbles in your bath this isn't your best choice though as I said you can't beat the scent. I use this as hand soap because it cleans but doesn't dry my hands. And did I mention the lovely scent? LOL

5.0 out of 5 stars MY FAVORITE ALL-TIME PHILOSOPHY SCENT, November 30, 2009
By
JagGirl (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews
I must leave a review for my favorite Philosophy Scent! Cinnamon Buns is so creamy and rich and smells SO-O-O good. We come back every year to get some more. Can be used by all the family as a shower gel, shampoo and also bath bubbles. Makes you smell really good and leaves your skin very soft. Don't worry, it's not THAT strong that you feel funny smelling like a cinnamon bun. It's so mellow and just right. Everyone in our family of four loves it.
