5.0 out of 5 stars Love this product
The hospital where my son was born used this cleanser on him. I was sad when I couldn't find it in the stores to replace it when it was gone. It has a wonderful smell...the best baby smell. It is so gentle too. I am glad that I was able to find some and order it online.

I have read that pHisoderm contains 3% hexachlorophene.

The literature states that hexachlorophene is not recommended for infants and nursing women because it is a teratogen (i.e., could cause developmental problems.) Further, it could cause cancer. 5.0 out of 5 stars Won't dry out baby's skin!!, April 7, 2004
This review is from: Phisoderm Baby Cleanser, 8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) (Health and Beauty)
My daughter is 3 and a half months old and we received baby phisoderm in the hospital as part of a new baby welcome gift. We brought it home and used it, but then we were unable to find it anywhere. It wasn't until we used other products, even some made for sensitive skin, that we realized how incredible this product is. Since we have stopped using it her skin condition has increasingly worsened, so now that I have found it I'm really going to stock up. It's the only one that works!

I love the smell of baby phisoderm and unfortunatly I haven't been able to find it at any local stores. It leaves my babies skin soft and smooth.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT for ADULT FACE AND BODY!, December 10, 2007

My mother used this on us when we were kids (20+years ago). It was in a round, kelly green bottle then with an outline of a honeycomb. It was just as great then but didn't have the soothing powdery scent it has today and it was just called phisoderm. She also used it to cleanse cuts and scrapes.

This is GREAT AS A FACIAL CLEANSER and all-over body cleanser. I use it daily for both and especially love to use it with a loofah sponge.

I love DOVE but I love this even better. Perfect for sensitive, dry or irritated skin.

UPDATE 8/22/11: I now have a 10 month old I use it at bath time and when changing poopy diapers. Still love it!

Look up the chemical for yourself. Both pHisoderm and pHisohex were banned in the '70s when anything with greater than 1% hexachlorophene was considered dangerous. pHisoderm was brought back in the '80s.

Look up the details of hexachlorophene yourself and make your own decision.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT!, May 30, 2008
This review is from: Phisoderm Baby Cleanser, 8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) (Health and Beauty)
My 9 wk old daughter was developing cradle cap her dr recommended I use either baby oil or Selsum Blue and wash her hair every other day. When I began using the Selsum Blue the cradle cap worsened and covered her entire scalp. My aunt then recommended I try the Phisoderm Baby wash for her hair and wash it every other day. After washing her hair three time with the Phisoderm her scalp is free of any and all scales. I also have been wahsing her body with the Phisoderm and it leaves her skin soft and smelling great. I would recommend this product to everyone I know.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, March 4, 2008
This review is from: Phisoderm Baby Cleanser, 8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) (Health and Beauty)
I was introduced to this product by my mom and I am so glad I tried it. It has a wonderful but not too overwhelming powder scent, so your baby will smell great and it is very gentle. You will looove the way your baby's skin feels and smells. I highly recomend this product.

I've used this on my children and their children! It's wonderful for the skin and hair. Never once did the babies develop cradle cap or skin problems. (And it's great for Mom's face! Very, very gentle.) No harsh fragrance - just a light "baby" smell! Love it!
