Poorly Organized,
This review is from: Phlebotomy Handbook: Blood Collection Essentials (7th Edition) (Paperback)
I used this book while taking a basic phlebotmy class in the summer of 2007. While it got the job done, I found the information to be poorly organized. The chapters are not well put together and there are too many of those little "information" boxes everywhere. I thought the book was confusing. I now have one called Phlebotomy Essentials by Ruth McCall (which my school went back to after only one semester of using the other one) and it is much better. It even has an optional workbook. Hope this helps.

good book for phelbotomy students,

This review is from: Phlebotomy Handbook: Blood Collection Essentials (6th Edition) (Paperback)
I think this is a pretty good book for phelbotomy students. The book goes into great depth about various blood tests and the equipment used. The language used was simple enough for laypersons to understand. This book also prepares you for the National exam.

As a layperson who wants to help people type thier blood with home blood typing kits, but be responsible about disposal, this books is a gem of information. The surprise for me is how much marvelous information is contaianed beyond responsible bloodletting. This book contains some anatomy, and describes the body systems. I would like to take a course on this subject, but they are available only to students of nursing, etc. With free shipping, and Amazon.com convenience and availibility, you can't beat this book!

The book seems very up-to-date and will be a helpful study guide for my staff. The questions/tests and CD are a plus.

This book was a book I needed for a phlebotomy class I took....I wasn't too crazy about the layout of the book. It did have a lot of good information however, but the layout of the book made it hard to read through chapters.

This review is from: Phlebotomy Handbook: Blood Collection Essentials (7th Edition) (Paperback)
This book is a great tool in helping someone who is interested in Phlebotomy. It is not too long and again it's not too short. Very well worded.

Phlebotomy textbook,
This review is from: Phlebotomy Handbook: Blood Collection Essentials (7th Edition) (Paperback)
The book arrived in a relatively short amount of time and in great condition. I would recommend this seller and will most likely use them for future textbook purchases. The price for a new book was way less than I would have paid at the campus bookstore.
