Remarkable account of Indian culture in the 1940's,
By A Customer
This review is from: Phoenix Fled (Virago Modern Classics) (Paperback)
I read this book over a year ago and I remember it as being excellent in content and expression. It gave a true flavor of life in India pre-partition days. I would strongly recommend this book and Hossain's SUNLIGHT ON A BROKEN COLUMN
to anybody interested in reading about Indian culture
