This is unquestionably the best book I have read on the history of the wars of the "roses."
It makes for even more interesting reading dovetailing Gillingham's history of the wars with Shakespeare's history of the wars as told in the three plays of Henry VI and Richard III. Buy this book for pennies from other resellers and enjoy it on your next cross-Atlantic flight to London.
