The remote microphone does what I expected from a Phonak device. . I purchased this for use in very noisy situations and it delivers. But dining at tables for 6. I had hoped it could be placed in the middle of the table and pick up conversations, too. It helps, but not as much as I had hoped because the useful range from speaker to mike is 8 to 20 inches. It is a tine device, and can be easily lost I attached m\y phone number on the case just in case.

Bought this to enable communication in noisey environment. Voice is much louder, but too much echo.
Remote Mic transmits via bluetooth with it's built in delay.
Result is a perfect scenario for reverb. Feels like you are in an echo chamber. Separate Vol adj in compilot, remote mic, and HA's did not eliminate it. Vendor shipped a demo unit, not a new unit as advertised, so maybe there is a newer version but there are no firmware updates listed on phonak website. Concluded it is a hypersensitive mic in remote. Vol lowered all the way in both remote and compilot, still getting echo when I speak.

It was easy to 'pair' and worked as advertised. It takes some balancing with hearing aids so that voices are prominent, not extraneous noise, but in general I'm pleased with it.

I had seen this in the insert, when I purchased my Phonak Com Pilot. I haven't gotten a chance to use it in a restaurant yet, but I tested on husband and it's a little too loud, even with the volume all the way down. I'm hoping it will be perfect in a loud environment.

Good product at a good price. My spouse calls it "the wife mic." I've found that it works well in all environments.

I have used one before and am very pleased with it's performance with both a Phonak hearing aid and my Advanced Bionics Cochlear implant processor.

Excellent remote microphone for Compilot. My first impressions:
- It's small. Keychain size. It comes with an optional keychain loop, and I quickly found that I needed to use it or risk losing the mic.
- It's lightweight. 1/4 ounce.
- Pairing is simple and quick. Once it's paired, it remembers the Compilot and connects automatically when powered on.
- Audio is 'sharper' and has 'more background sound' than the hearing aids. My guess is that's because the microphone used in the $112 remotemic is cheaper than the microphones used in my $3,000 hearing aids. Even so, it is easy to understand, and very useful.
- Works well in places with lots of background noise. I tested it in a restaurant and it worked great.
- Small and easy to clip on a blouse or shirt. Looks almost like jewelry. Not like a microphone.
- Range about 30 feet (plus) and line of sight.
- My wife says it made talking much easier. She said, "You didn't miss any words!"
- Charges quickly via included USB cable.

If you use Phonak Compilot (another very useful gadget) this microphone is an essential accessory. I plan to use it for yoga classes (where room echoes distort sound) and for interviews (which often take place in restaurants.) You have to ask the person who is speaking to wear the mic, but so far no one has minded because it is small and attractive.
