Okay, let me start this by saying that I've been searching for a suitable external/backup battery for my new Android smartphone (the Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint) ever since getting the phone a month or two ago. Its a great phone, and the recent firmware upgrade really helped with battery life, but like with most smartphones, the battery life still leaves something to be desired. The phone takes a micro USB input, which complicated things from a form factor/connectorization perspective.

This little primo battery cube ROCKS. That's the only way to describe it. The factory picture doesn't nearly do it justice!! The thing actually has *two* well-thought-out DC outputs - one micro USB *and* one mini USB, nicely folded up as part of the enclosure .. and here's the best part, they are on two autonomous SWIVEL mounts!! So it is *perfect* when attaching to my phone, as I can tilt the batter back from me so I can even talk on it easily, with just one hand.. it really is amazing how well this mechanism was thought out in such a tiny package. I'll try to snap a picture or two a little later and attach it to the item so that you can 'see' what I mean. When attaching to my Android phone, the phone automatically recognizes it and asks me how I want to use it - I select USB charging and off it goes. Awesome!!!

Now, it gets even better: on the input side, when charging, it charges directly from a standard USB port, so you can charge it with your existing phone charger, or a USB computer port, or any other USB-related charging mechanism if you'd like .. and with EITHER micro USB or mini USB! Awesome, once again!! Oh, and it comes with a micro USB to standard USB cable as well, to throw in a travel/laptop bag. They have thought of everything, and I am not kidding!!

My Primo Cube Battery Pack only has the micro-USB connector, which is thankfully what my phone needs. (LG Optimus L9) Good thing I wasn't counting on the Mini-USB connector like it's shown in the picture, because it's not there. I guess this was a product design change, but they really should change the picture because that's definitely not what I received. Mine does say PhoneSuit on it (but the word "primo" isn't on mine anywhere either).

The cube definitely works, but in my experience, it doesn't give my phone a "full charge" by any means but in fairness to the product, I haven't left it sit charging undisturbed as I would when I'm doing a wall charge. What it does is keep the battery from dying in a desperate situation, so it's good for those times when you haven't had access to a wall plug all day and you need more battery life. I intend to test it more rigorously by letting my phone battery run down to 20% and then attaching the PhoneSuit cube and letting it sit unused to see how far it will charge it up. If my results change, I'll post an updated review.

One thing I did realize that I liked is that because the micro-USB jack pivots, the battery pack itself acts as a base for the phone and it will stand up while it's charging, which is cool if you like to see notifcations coming in, etc. I will say that it works best when the phone jack on the phone is UNcased. My phone's case prevents the USB connector from fully engaging.

Again, from a design standpoint it's pretty smart in that the connector folds away, completely into the product itself and has a rubber protective bit over it. I also like that the cube has a mirrored finish on one side (which, by the way, acts as a makeup mirror in a pinch!

I bought 2 and only received 1. When I contacted the seller, I was impressed with how fast they responded and how they corrected the mistake. I have used this product a couple times and it works great. Puts my mind at ease.

I've had this for months now and it really is great. Its small and light and you hardly notice it when holding the phone. It charges separately and when you need a little extra power you just plug it in. I also like how the lights on the front show how much battery is left. We call it "the primo" and my wife and I both use it off and on to charge our phones. I should have gotten 2! I've used it on a Samsung Focus, HTC Surround, and a Blackberry.

I bought it as a complement for the short lived battery of htc android. It turned out that charges battery only by 60-70% and dies out, I really expected at least a full charge. Anyway, I would buy it again even with this information, it is a good product.

So I love my Samsung Galaxy S II but there's one thing I can't stand about it: the phone battery drains out SOOOOO fast then I'm stuck carrying my phone charger everywhere I go. I listen to a LOT of music so I always assumed this is what makes the battery run out. Then I'm stuck not using my phone while it charges, I noticed my phone doesn't charge as fast while I'm using it (obviously lol) so I have to stop using my phone.
I was at a T-Mobile store yesterday browsing through the packages of whatever was on sale and I found this Powersuit Cube thing, I started to read what it was and I figured it'd be a good idea to buy one to solve my battery drainage issues.
I have been using my cellphone's attachment, plugged it into the wall (instead of using my computer's USB port) and it's been sitting there for hours, the only thing I see is 1 blue arrow light. I thought I was supposed to see all 4 arrows lit up so I know it's fully charged; no idea how much longer it'll take.
