Phonemate PMG-55SL Corded Speakerphone

The first phone we received was defective so Amazon
shipped out another one. This phone has a very large
caller id display and is loaded with features. The buttons
are large and easy to read. The programming instructions
were simple to understand and the handset is very comfortable.
It's also a very sharp looking phone that can be
used as a wall model or a desk model.
If you need a corded phone, you can't go wrong with this one.

This phone has great looks, some nice functions like:

1- Caller ID
2- 10 one touch memories
3- Call back button
(there is why the 3 stars)

BUT, the speaker phone is not really good, if you are alone, in complete silence, you will hear it, but if you're in your home or office with "some" noise, pick up the hand set, you will be screaming "what?? what did you say? Sorry, come again?...". Also, you cannot set the date and time, this is automatically set with the Caller ID service, so if you are using an analog line or if you don't have the CID service, the date/time function is useless. Finally, I had to change the handset cord, the one that comes with the phone is so short you will be picking up the whole phone if you are standing and your phone is on a low desk or place.

I love my new phone! It has so many features, looks great, works wonderfully, and didn't cost me very much. You couldn't ask for a better deal.

I highly recommend buying one for yourself and as presents for friends. I'm a very happy customer!!!

I was very impressed with the amount of options that came with this phone for the price. It is very stylish and a great phone for the price. The speaker phone is a bit low and I was hoping it would have Caller ID for my call waiting calls. Also the cord is very small but overall I'm very happy with it!

It would be nice to have more information. It looks like it has a answering machine on it also. But does not say if it does or does not? Price is great.
