I have checked this book out from the library numerous times and am now waiting to recieve my own copy!! This book contains the best hands-on phonics games I have ever seen. Each activity is throughly explained, vividly pictured, and uses skills much needed in the early primary classroom. The activities are fun, colorful, effective, and requires materials you have on hand or can easily and cheaply purchase. All activities are made by you and full patterns are included within the book. I have used the activities in several different ways: at home with my own children as review, part of a lesson as an introduction in the classroom, at the end of a unit of study as review and reward, and as centers all over the room to promote retention of skills already taught. The games are so fun and creative that the children do not know the depths of knowledge they are requiring by playing! SHHHH it's our little secret!! A great find!

While the Grade level on the book states Grades K-2 much of the
games and activities in the book are geared more towards alphabet and letter learning.

This book is excellent for large and small group activities, individual one-on-one tutoring, and easily modified to fit your particular need. I have used it several times in the short amount of time that I have had it. Highly recommended as a resource book.

Although this book gives some good ideas for activities, it does only that. You have to come up with most of the patterns on your own. Not what we expected.

I was very disappointed in this book. In fact, I no longer have it. The ideas were old and prep was extensive. I regret buying it.

I did not find one useful idea in this book. Its game pieces were small and needed a lot of preparing to make. I'm going to give mine away because there wasn't one thing I thought I may ever want to use.

The quality of the paper is not good enough. It's not fun to play with the pieces of unqualified paper.
