The BEST for phonics reading,

I LOVE this series, it's expensive to buy all but well worth it. I bought all of set A to begin, and then went to a local used bookstore to buy other books (Bob Books and other primer books) for 15 cents. In my opinion it's best to have a complete guided set such as Phonics Practice Readers and a few other books for fun & reinformcement. I also have the Starfall set, but it's one book per skill, whereas with Phonics Practice Readers you have several books to learn and practice.

Excellent! We started with sets 1, 2, and 3, and it worked so well we had to get the next set. It has a teachers guide which helps the child with reading comprehension, because it has questions for you to ask for each page read. And the methodology and sequence of the sounds for each book and set is excellent in helping a new reader.

The material came quickly. I was a little disappointed that the answers were filled in on the last page of the reader.
