5.0 out of 5 stars I am surprised to be the first reviewer!
I first heard a track of this CD on the wonderful radio show"Chocolate City" from America's very best radio stationKCRW. I ordered the album from Amazon and has almost instantly become one of my favorites. The fusion of jazz, hip hop, and funk results in a magnificent listening experience. If you want to impress friends and loved ones (perfect for date music)...

2.0 out of 5 stars sorry album
Judging by the artists contributing on this album I expected it to be a little more creative. It is bland, boring, and way to "dancy" than I imagined. If it wouldn't have been for the first two tracks the album would have only gotten one star.

I ordered the album from Amazon and has almost instantly become one of my favorites. The fusion of jazz, hip hop, and funk results in a magnificent listening experience. If you want to impress friends and loved ones (perfect for date music) with your knowledge of ultra cool smooth sounds, this is for you. You can't possibly go wrong playing this in the car, on a date, romantic dinner, or even get down and getting nasty (dancing that is)... it has great tracks that cover the complete spectrum of cool! Highly, highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Cool Fusion of Jazz, Hip Hop and House, July 26, 2001

I've never been much of a fan of hip hop but this album has made me look over my shoulder and question what I've missed in the past. If you like Roni Size but prefer rhythms which are more jazzy, housy, groovy... this is the perfect album for you. Its got some of the Roni Size edge but its far less intense... more finger-snappin and toe tappin. I really dig tracks 1 and 7, particularly the narrative in "Whatever Happened to Gus". Well done Mr Smash, you have my attention!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Groove, April 14, 2010

I don't have too much to add that the other positive reviews didn't say already. Just wanted to add my rating to bring up the overall. It's definitely 5 star worthy. Perfect when you want to chill, groove, swing, rhyme, or get funky. Great vibe all around! I love this album and listen to it often!
