This watch is super cool. It looks awesome either with the black background and white numbers or viceversa. The only thing missing is some kind of light or something to see the hour in the night.

To start out, let me say over all, I like this watch. Yes, its true its not like the photo that it shows, the black isnt that dark of a black and the white isnt that bright of a white. But its a pretty cool watch and people seem pretty intrested in it when they see it, its kind of like a "rolex" effect if you know what I mean. Unfortunately though it does leave the "lines" when the time changes, as in if the minutes change from a 2 to a 3 you can kind of see the lines from the 2 still there. The watch does sort of "refresh" every 15 minutes to try and keep that problem minimal. Now... make no mistake, it IS big, but after a while you get used to it and you forget you are even wearing it, so it is comfortable. But I'm just SO afraid Im going to scratch it so I find myself taking it off often so I dont scratch its large face. But then there is the issue of price, I would never pay over $100 for it... I was able to get it at an awesome price and I suggest you wait around until you find that amazing price too. When you get it, you understand... yes its cool, but $175? I dont think so.

CONS:
- Not as bright of a display as shown in the photos.
- Kind of expensive for what you get.
- "Lines" left behind of the time that has elapsed.
- Big face that could be easily scratched.

PROS:
- Ability to switch between a white background and a black one.
- Cool, interesting, modern look.
- Beeps at every hour.
- Ultimate "at a glance" display.
- Ability to switch between "analog" and "total digital" display.

So over all, I say "Buy the watch!"... when you can get it at a good price that is. Its perfect for someone who wants to sort of "stand out" from all the other watches out there and, I could see it being the PERFECT gift for that someone who "has everything".

I do not know if the unit I received was atypical but the nice sharp "Black" in the pictures was a very distinct Grey - not at all black. Not at all sharp looking like the photos. Very different than the pics

this watch is cool, I agree that it should have some kind of light for dark areas. other than that its a cool watch to look at.

I love nice looking watches that are somewhat out of the ordinary (Tokyoflash anyone?) So, I had been eyeing this watch ever since I saw it in an InFlight magazine from Stauer. But $300 was way too much for what is essentially a novelty watch.
Well, $79 right here on Amazon.com is a no-brainer! Plus, the added advantage is the large numeral size makes it easy to read without my glasses!

This is a very attractive watch with many modes, but when I got it, it had a persistent image on the screen. I got a replacement quickly free of charge, though, and that works fine. It is scratched easily, though, and can easily scratch or cut other things due to its relatively sharp design.

This is a beautiful watch. It is simple, clean, comfortable and looks great. Yes the screen doesn't have the super high contrast the picture shows, but it is eInk so I didn't expect it to.
My recommendation if you want one of these watches is to wait until they go on sale and pick one up. It is truly a nice piece to own.

This watch is pretty fantastic. E-ink looks amazing, incredible viewing angles and readability from a distance. Design is simple and elegant. Downside to this watch is that it is very heavy, and no backlight due to e-ink displays being opaque, but you can read it pretty well in low lighting due to the high contrasted large digits. Another common complaint is that this watch when not on sale can cost more than the e-ink kindle, but it is in a different category. A kindle can not be worn so compactly, is not water resistant, and is not a fashion accessory. This would be better compared to a Tokyo Flash than a Kindle, and in that case it is a steal. The watchband was also very stiff and extremely difficult to adjust when I first got the watch, however after a couple days' use it became much more flaccid and pliable.
All in all, this is the best watch I have ever owned. If you can buy it on sale, go for it.

Overall this watch is 99% HYPE and only stands out because of the big screen, It's a cool watch to look at and people will always ask you about but for $105.00 I'd go with something else.

If you want to look like a high tech spy, this the watch for you.

At the bottom of the clock image is completely black and the numbers are a bright white, the watch is opaque. It is very disappointing to get a product that does not look like the picture of the advertising.
