The case looks and, for the most part, feels exactly like the Apple bumpers, which is exactly what I wanted. Visually it looks nearly perfect and even on close inspection you wouldn't know that it wasn't an official bumper.
To nitpick the, the hard plastic "shell" has a very, very minor ridge which you cannot see but can only slightly feel, as if the edge needed just a bit of sanding. As others have mentioned the bottom of the case has a thin covering that prevents the lighting plug from going 100% into the socket. I'd say the plug goes 95% into the socket, which is far enough to make the connection, charge and sync. I didn't even notice it until I read others here post, so obviously it wasn't a major issue for me.
EDIT: after one day, I did wind up using my dremel to shave a tiny bit off of the bottom to allow the lightning plug to fit in all the way. Also after a day in my pocket the minor "ridge" i mentioned has worn smooth. I'm totally happy with it now.

This is for the first version of the case, which I received before the iphone 5 was launched:
I purchased and received this bumper case before I received my iphone, I was a little concerned that it might not fit right but took the chance since it's not very expensive. I received my new phone today, the bumper is a very good fit. The thing that I'm unhappy with is that the cutout at the base of the case for the new power connector is too small. The port itself is accessible but the plastic edges of the case come right up to the edge of the hole (the female receptacle on the phone itself); this causes the cable connector's housing (the plastic part past the metal on the male end of the cable) to get blocked. This prevents you from pushing the cable connector in all the way unless you push really hard, then it tends to push itself back out. This is easily fixed with a little bit of cutting, but it's obviously not going to look as good if I do it with an xacto blade versus what it would look like if it was properly cut out by the factory.
Updated 1/30/13 - Fix with a new problem.
Photive posted a comment under this review stating that they had come out with a second revision to the case which included a cutout for the lightning connector which I complained about in my original review. They offered a free replacement case after I had sent them an email at Support@Photive.com with my Amazon order number and requesting a replacement case. When I received the replacement, I was pleased to note that the area for the lightning connector had been significantly widened. The case is still a very good fit and the lightning cable has no problem sticking and staying in. After about a month of everyday use, the hard plastic region of the bumper is getting scuffed (this was the same experience I had with the original case) and the area that was cut back for the expanded lightning connector has cracked on one side. By cutting back the hard plastic that makes up the frame of the case in order to make the cutout larger, the frame is much thinner in that area and is not as strong as the original. I had purchased an aluminum bumper case for the phone around Xmas time, which is durable, scuff resistant, and allows for a thin frame without sacrificing strength.

This "bumper" case is almost identical to the look and feel of Apple's version for the iPhone 4/4s. However, this one does not allow the charger to do it's job. There are two small pieces of plastic that block the charger from completely securing into the port. You must remove the case to charge the phone. The power button is a little tough to depress, but the volume buttons are much better.
I would not buy this again.
(UPDATE: Was contacted by ButterflyPhoto and was told a new batch of cases had been made which corrected this error. I will updated my review when the new bumpers are received.)
(UPDATE 2: Received a new version of this bumper which was designed to fix the charger port issue. I'm happy to report that it fits perfectly. Thank you ButterflyPhoto for fixing this issue.
I would not buy this again.
