It is OK to keep it continuously plugged in. When the Cyren is off and fully charged and USB connected to 5.14V, it draws 0.00 Amps (I have a USB volt-amp meter). The battery is being charged only when it needs to be charged, and that is good for the battery.

It is likely still paired with your IPhone. Once the speaker is paired with a device it remains paired to that device. Turn Bluetooth off on your IPhone and put the speaker back into pairing mode (power down, wait 10secs and power back on). You will know it is in pairing mode when it flashes Red and Blue. Keep in mind the speaker will automatically pair with any previously paired device thereby blocking any other new device pairings.

12 volt re-charge? Apr 20, 2014
It's a 5-v USB-powered device...So any 5-v USB power adapter or USB hub or computer port will power and charge the speaker.

Yes, it will definitely be able to handle that type of environment. It is not going to be as loud as a larger speaker, but is great for having as background music with a group of people (even a large group).

I have a USB volt-amp meter. When the Cyren is off and USB connected and charging, the USB is at 5.11V and the Cyren is drawing 580 mA. A computer USB port must source at least 500 mA. So, if you have a dedicated USB power source that supplies more than 500 mA, like 1 Amp or 2 Amp, it would charge the Cyren a little faster, but not much faster.

I had the same question. Thanks for bringing this up. I studied internet to find this answer for two days. And this is what I find: 1. Cyren is slightly richer in bass than Oontz Angle 2. Cyren is better looking, though some people like the way angle points upwards towards listeners when you place it on a table (waist height). But I like the simple look of Cyren better ... goes well with my book-rack 3. In one of the you tube review I can see Cyren has two speakers 40mm diameter and probably a central woofer (I am not sure). I definitely see an impression of speaker diaphram in center ... I am not sure if Oontz has that. 4. A number of websit, including http://www.bestwirelessspeakersreview.com/reviews/ constantly top-rated Cyren ... compared to Oontz 5. By looking at the picture I felt Oontz ... toy like with a flashy LED... and many complain low-bass. I felt Cyren was more serious shaped and people say it has slightly more bass and power than Oontz. 6. Number of reviews 1800 for Cyren and 1200+ for Oontz .......both average 4.5 in Amazon ...... onbiously more people trust Cyren. That may be due to earlier release date of Cyren. But I believe in peoples' trust ... the more the number of rating the more its time tested. 7. If price speaks of quality ... then note you are getting around 70% discount on 120 USD speaker (Cyren), where as around 43% discount on 70% speaker (Oontz Angle) ...... Waiting for it to arrive. Will know for sure once I ear it.

When choppy with my HTC phone, this works: Turn the Cyren off, wait two seconds, and turn it back on. After a few seconds the Cyren and the HTC pair automatically and the choppy goes away. BTW, since this happens with my other Bluetooth speakers, I think it is a phone problem, not a Cyren problem.

Yes, there is an auxiliary input that uses a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
