This is the first Donna Downey book I have bought. I first bought it to make the photo blocks which appear on the cover. The only thing was that the size stipulated in the book aren't a size you can just go buy. No plank of wood comes in that size to simply cut it. You would need someone with some good power tools to get it to the size mentioned. I ended up making mine smaller with blocks I could buy individually at a craft store. There are some really great ideas in this book though. I have made more than one coin folder screen for gifts and everyone loves them. There are a few projects that use things you cant find just anywhere. For example a vintage printers drawer or a watch makers tin. The good thing that Donna does in her book is tell you where she gets her materials even if its getting them off ebay! I plan on trying one of her other books very soon!

This a great book if you love your pictures. There are lots of ways to incorporate your photos and memorablia into your home decor and very clever gifts. I paid full price for this book at a local scrapbook store and it is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

I have been dazzled by Donna Downey's other books and this one has the same magic power over me. All the creative ideas for displaying photos has me running around the house looking at things in a whole new light. The projects are easy to follow, the photos are beautiful, and as always, Donna's writing is fun to read.

I bought all three of Donnas books and am so happy. I make custom scrapbooks for a living and am always looking for different elements and designs for my clients albums...not to mention my own. The book is very easy to follow with simple step by step instructions and she gives a list of where to buy all the products she uses. I highly recommend this and the other two books for anyone who is ready to experiment and move away from the regular albums to incorporate the WOW factor on their bookshelf at home!

I love this book so much. I have created the blocks that are on the cover and they were such an amazing hit with the couple I gave them too. The instructions are wonderful and the ideas are nothing short of inspired. I own all of Donna Downey's books and will continue to purchase them, knowing they'll be worth having.

Lovin' these Donna Downey books- definitely some "out of the box" ideas that can be easily duplicated using Donna's easy to understand directions.... this is more a "paper art/crafting" book-- not so much traditional scrapbooking. Fun stuff.

I just LOVE these books! I have so many pictures of long ago relatives, (some of whom....have no identity as every one who ever knew who they were ... is GONE NOW!) and I'd love to DO something to showcase them, and this book has plenty of ideas for that. They may not have 'names' but they WILL have recognition in my home.

I got a lot of great ideas for gifts in this book. Well worth the money spent. :)

I got some great ideas from this book...I have already done a couple of the projects and I have only had it a few months. Let's you "think outside the book"! And is a starting point to helping you think of new ways to display photos. Some of her ideas I wouldn't use but the ones I would are great. She has good details and great pictures so you know what to do.

Now owning all there in this Donna Downey collection- all I can say is WOW!! This lady is full of creativity and with her sharing her inspiration behind each piece and the clear, easy to follow instructions (with lots of pictures and just enough text to accompany) I feel I can tackle anyone of these projects with success.
