Mardi Ballou, who I had the good fortune to beta read for, is on my list of authors to turn to when I want a hot, classy, quick erotic romance read. Photo Finish is all those things and also has two sexy lawyers who try to one-up each other but end up sizzling together. I think you'll be hooked on Mardi Ballou's books--be sure to read the bonus chapters, as Soap Bloke is another favorite erotic short. If you like your erotic romance hot but not overly explicit and hard-core, then Photo Finish is for you.

I thought this was a cute, sweet, sexy romance. The story had good development for the word count and the couple's interactions were fun. I particularly liked the chemistry, humour, erotic without being OTT/distasteful love scenes and the fact that the legal/cops etc aspects weren't a heavy focus. A fun, sweet, sexy romance with a dash of humour - yay! (N.B. I received a copy of this book from the author, the review is my own).

For a short story this had great character development. I really liked all the characters. Cassandra & Alex are both hot shot attorneys who are not each others biggest fan. alex catches sight of an erotic book with Cassandras picture and name as the author on the back and gives her a hard time about it. Cassandra had no idea that her sister, an erotic book author, used her picture and name to spice up her life.

Cassandra and Alex start to see each other differently. this book was actually really funny, which left me laughing out loud a few times. the sex was very hot. I loved that for a short book that I read in one evening I really felt like I knew the characters and it didn't feel fake.

The only flaw is I wasn't excepting the ending. It wasn't a bad ending, I just turned the page and bam it ended. I thought it would have maybe another chapter. But I still give it 4 stars and recommend it to anyone.
