Daniel tanner has been in love with his best friend since he was fourteen years old. She has no idea, and doesn't return his feelings, so he contented himself with friend status until just recently. He had plans for Amy Morgan, and was nervous because the end result would be either gaining a lover or loss of his friend. He realized recently how important it was that he not take anyone for granted. He was working on a photo project at the hospital pediatric oncology dept, and it took a ten-year-old girl named Vicky to bring clarity to his life. Daniel decided to put it all on the line and claim Amy for his own.

His plan was starting slowly because she was liable to bolt if he came on too strong. He was just going to ease her into their relationship until she was as convinced as he that they belonged together. Daniel planned the first sensual encounter between them to happen at his sister's birthday party. He just kept escalating their contact, and heat factor. When Amy couldn't resist his advances any longer, they gave into the deep feelings simmering between them. Daniel was excited about the turn of events, but Amy was horrified she ruined their friendship. She didn't have a good history with men, so trust was difficult for her, and she gave it grudgingly. When Daniel realized that Amy was never going to give them a real chance, he took an assignment out of town because he couldn't be around her. He had only been gone a few days when Amy realized her hideous error in judgment. She only hoped she could gain his forgiveness before it was too late.

Amy is such a good character! She has been betrayed by love, and men her entire life which has impacted every facet of her life. Her first instinct is to mistrust, and instead of giving Daniel a chance, she shuts him down. He is a real find, and has the patience of a saint. Everyone should be so lucky to find a gentle soul like Daniel. Daniel and Amy have a genuine friendship that has evolved into passion. A good sensual story with some very emotional moments.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 blue ribbons from Romance Junkies, October 21, 2008
This review is from: Photo Opportunity (Kindle Edition)
Daniel Tanner has been in love with Amy since he first met her. He was only fourteen, but even then he knew that she would be the only woman whom he'd ever truly want. He'd opted to be her lifelong friend and has spent seventeen years in that role. It's time to take their relationship to a new level - a more intimate one.

Experience has taught Amy that friends are always around. Lovers leave. Sleeping with a friend like Daniel would be detrimental to their friendship and there's no way she'd do anything to put their relationship in jeopardy. She may have had one or two erotic fantasies starring Daniel over the years but that's as far as it's ever gone. All of a sudden, he's turning up the heat a notch and Amy is having difficulty resisting the sexual lure.

Daniel has learned a lot during the time he's spent at Sydney's Eastern Suburbs Hospital photographing scenes in the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Ward. One little girl in particular touched his heart and made him realize that life is too short to take it or your loved ones for granted. Daniel has spent years being secretly in love with Amy hoping that someday she'd see him as more than a buddy. He's not willing to wait any longer. He's afraid that if he moves too fast he'll scare Amy off so he enlists the help of his sister as well as a friend and uses some devious plots to entice Amy to see him as more than just a friend. What he doesn't realize is that Amy already thinks he's too sexy for his own good and she is very attracted to him. She also believes that he's commitment phobic. If she falls into his arms and bed will she lose her best friend and lover or will they discover that friends really do make the best lovers?

I have to confess that I love stories where best friends fall in love or discover that they've been in love for years. They're always so emotionally charged and it's so much fun to imagine the couple struggling to accept this new dimension to their relationship. Daniel's plots are sinfully amusing and had me laughing out loud at his audacity. Amy's fear of losing Daniel's friendship is very understandable considering the role that males have played in her life. PHOTO OPPORTUNITY is more than just a sweet romance. It also brings to light the plight of children with horrible illnesses and just how truly precious life is and how often we take it for granted.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY is more than Jessica Dee's first published book. It's also the first book in a two-part series about the Tanner siblings. I'm now very anxious to read Lexi's tale in the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Photo Opportunity- A Joyfully Recommended Title, June 2, 2008
This review is from: Photo Opportunity (Kindle Edition)
Daniel Tanner is in love with his best friend Amy Morgan and has a plan to make her his. Daniel is going to seduce Amy into loving him and being his forever.

Amy is a little nervous when Daniel turns up the heat on their relationship. They have been friends forever and Amy doesn't want to lose her best friend. Boyfriends may come and go, but Daniel has always been there. It couldn't hurt to return his kisses, could it?

Will Dan and Amy's friendship survive the next step? Should they take that chance?

Photo Opportunity is wonderfully delicious. Jess Dee made me cry and ripped out my heart. She gave me that feeling you get when something is about to go very wrong and your heart just drops to the pit of your stomach. Talk about a roller coaster ride, but I think that is very true for a story about friends turning into lovers.

The bottom line in Photo Opportunity is trust. Amy has a lot of trust issues and they come out to play when opening up her relationship with Dan. Ms. Dee took me on a lovely ride in this prequel to Ask Adam and I am Joyfully Recommending Photo Opportunity and can't wait to read Ask Adam.

I personally love the books where best friends become lovers and have their Happily Ever After :) These two characters made me laugh, feel towards, and all in all love them and wish them the best. The sex scenes will make you blush ;) Definitely worth the buy!
