This MicroSD adapter works great in my Sony PSP.
Catherine Pettinos
Two, the card itself feels like it's made from cheap plastic, and probably won't last under heavy handling.
Matt Logan
I kept getting error messages saying the SD cards weren't properly formatted.

I got tired of waiting for Sony to release the 32GB memory stick so I bought one of these and two 16GB micro SD cards (all for less than the price of one 16GB memory stick!)

My PSP would only recognize the adapter intermittently, so I sent it back. The replacement worked perfectly and now I have a 32GB PSP.

Highly recommended, but be aware of the limitations of the adapter (according to the manufacturer):

*It can only be formatted and used in a device (Do not format or transfer data to it with computer's card reader).

*It is essentially a RAID device, so once you stick two cards in, they aren't hot-swappable (you'll have to reformat to use it after changing out a card).

*The micro SDs will have to be reformatted before use in another device (again, because it's a RAID).

Once you can work within its limits, it is a great device. Mine has worked flawlessly for six months now. Just keep returning it until you get a good one!

Just wanted to confirm to everyone using this for their psp - this does indeed work with two 32gb micro sd cards for a total of 59gb of usable space. I'm using two Sandisk 32gb Class 4 cards, formatted from within the psp and have had no trouble so far. Everything runs smooth and the only trouble I have is thinking of the list of retro heaven I'm going to put on there :)

UPDATE : 1/2/14

Got a giftcard from Best Buy and so used it to buy 2x 64gb micro sd cards - lo and behold! they work in this adapter! Formatted in the psp, and I now have 118gb of storage! Sweet! :D

Grew tired of waiting for the 32 gig pro duo and its outrageous price...and ordered this beaut. Came in less time than they said...super prompt. Properly packaged. Picked up two Micro SD 16 gig memory sticks...followed instructions and formatted both cards in device with PSP. Worked perfectly right from word go. After formatting...29 gigs free. Immediately downloaded my blu ray ripped mp4's...over a dozen, stuck about fifteen of my cd's ripped to wave files and had room left over for Einhander and Killzone(no lag time for games different from pro duo cards)....with over 9 gigs left over!
No problems with the device...the micro sd chips are now permanent residents of the device. It fits perfectly in the pro duo slot...and I rarely remove it. A great buy for me. And when the micro sd 32 gigs come available...(its available only in asia only) I will pick up another device. No transplanting sd cards. A separate device I will purchase for each new set of cards. I won't be going back to Pro Duos. I have my eyes on the new sdxc cards. I will expect a new photo flash adapter specially configured to take the new sdxc format...if necessary.

I got this product with high hopes to use with the sony hdr-cx12 camcorder. after some fighting between formatting the cr-5400 with 2x8gb sdhc memory, the camcorder finally recognizes the memory card and will capture to the device. unfortunately, it would give me inconsistent results, therefore i'm now hoping to return the product.

such a let down, but for anyone interested to in having this work with the sony camcorder, i didn't have much luck :(

I purchased this with two 8gb sandisk microSD's to go in my PSP.

This adapter is made of very thin plastic and you have to be careful not to torque it when handling. Installing the microSD cards was a very simple matter, they slide right into place and look to be easily removable as well.

I followed the advice of several other reviewers and formatted through the PSP. Formatting was instant and I ended up with ~14gb of free space to play around with!

Read/write times are great when transferring via USB from my PC. One minor gripe is that I have a bit of lag time when booting up my PSP from the time that I see the XMB to the time it detects the memory stick. The process takes ~4 seconds, though this may be a common PSP memory issue and no fault of the adapter (I have no experience with other Duo Pro's other than my 1gb chip).

All in all an excellent way to save [...] bucks over a standard Duo Pro, WITH the option to upgrade later on!

I love this thing. By that I mean it is cheap storage for 32GB of storage in a tiny package. It appears to be well made. Just don't forget to re-format you memory sticks with your device prior to first use. Then don't forget to leave the memory inside the unit because once it is formatted this way you can't separate the memory and use it standalone (without re-formatting it). It seems this adapter turns the attached SD or SDHC cards into a RAID JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks). You get all the storage as though it were one single disk. SWEET and CHEAP.

Had ordered one from another seller, and only SLOT-1 worked. Ordered this one, still wasn't PhotoFast branded as picture shows, but otherwise the same item. Works as expected with 2x Sandisk 16GB class 4 microSDHC cards. Formatted and used in a PSP 3000

I got this on Amazon.co.jp personally. I highly recommend making sure that the adapter you are getting is genuine, there are plenty of fakes out there and I have head more than a few stories about fakes doing everything from plain not working to melting...

Pros:
much cheaper alternative to memory sticks (currently $25each for 32gb microSDs, $150 for 32GB mem stick pro duo)
adjustable memory size

Cons:
somewhat flimsy (perfectly fine once you have both slots filled by MicroSD cards)
need to know what you are doing

I personally bought this for my PSP3000 I bought in Japan along with a pair of 32gb class 4 micro SDs.
Some people might run into problems using more than 32GB with the adapter and I will tell you both the reason and the fix.

If you are running into problems, there are a couple things to keep in mind. If the problem cannot be fixed by the short troubleshoot that comes in the case, it might be the one I ran into.

PSPs only recognize FAT32 formatted drives, and the formatting the PSP does by itself often does not format the stick right.

another thing, Windows does not allow you to format anything larger than 32gb into FAT32.

Some signs that you might be having the same problem as me:
PSP cant detect a memory stick
unable to format memory stick correctly (format error)
only showing 32gb when you have more than 32gb in the adapter

the workaround is actually quite simple. I will list it to make it easier:

First you need to be able to connect your PSP to your PC, and also go find a program that allows you to format large drives into FAT32, just Google it and you will find more than a few.
