Converts your MicroSD or MicroSDHC Card into a MS Pro Duo Card for use with Pro Duo enabled devices, including PSP. Contains two MicroSDHC memory slots each with a capacity of up to 8GB for a total capacity of 16GB. *IMPORTANT* NOTE: 1. Please FORMAT MicroSD cards with CR-5400 adapter by SONY product or PSP before using the card.(DO NOT FORMAT by PC) 2. Keep Micro SD cards in CR-5400 adapter all time for data transfer. DO NOT transfer data from Micro SD cards without CR-5400 adapter to any other device(PC) . It will cause data corrupt. 3. Most of card readers DO NOT support high capacity Memory Stick (Duo) memory cards. Please use USB cable to transfer from PSP or SONY products to PC or other device. 4. For customers using PSP system software version 2.80 or earlier: PSP systems with system software version 2.80 or earlier do not correctly recognize high-capacity Memory Stick PRO DuoTM with more than 4 GB of free (recordable) memory space. I love my PsP and this product is the best purchase that you can do if you love yours too!

I run on my PsP a few PSx games so MEMORY is my main problem and this adapter works like a charm! You can fit 2 small MicrosSD-HC and get up to 32GB easy, I have 2 8GB & after format the card on the PsP read a total of 15GB for less of what will cost a MemoryStick (Sony MSproDuo 16GB $97.67 the cheaper here on amazon)... the card looks fragile, but I'm not surprised because is hollow in order to fit the MicroSD cards, I will recomend to keep the adapter all the time on the PsP so there is not risk to damage it plus the adapter behave as a HC card so many readers will not work, what is one more reason to keep it on the PsP.

I've used one of these adapters in my PSP for almost a year and it has worked flawlessly. I just upgraded the memory in my phone so I bought another adapter so I could use the phone's old micro SD in my PSP too (the adapter will work with just one micro SD, just put it in slot 1)

The PSP complained when I tried to format the card. It would either report a format error or report that there was no card inserted, even though the PSP seemed to read the card just fine.

I just upgraded the PSP to the latest firmware, and I hope this isn't Sony taking steps to shut out this product (after all, it's the only way to get 32GB on a PSP, unless you buy the PSP Go, but even then you top out at 32GB).

At any rate, the memstick.ind and mstk_pro.ind files were on the card so it looks like the format was started at least. I re-created the default PSP folder structure (MP_ROOT, MUSIC, PICTURE, PSP, and VIDEO), copied over my files and the card is working fine.

My guess is that the PSP didn't see a genuine Sony Memory Stick, so it was throwing a tantrum. In the end, it works and that's what matters.

I bought this adapter warily, as I had gotten a microSD to ProDuo adapter before, the kind that only holds one microSD...and it broke the first time I put a microSD card in it. So, when I saw this, I was nervous, but the chance I took turned out to be so worth it! The memory cards slide in easily and there are no weird bumps on the outside when the cards are inserted to indicate poor construction. As a note, this card can ONLY be used when inside my PSP, I have to put it into USB mode, it does NOT read in my ProDuo memory card slot in my computer. For me it isn't a big deal, it's only a miniscule inconvenience. This is definitely a 5-star product for me, I'm probably going to get a second one for my boyfriend.
