I was excited when I saw this item on Amazon as I regularly use a battery grip that holds two batteries that eventually need to be recharged simultaneously. Unfortunately, this charger did not work well. It was difficult to get the batteries seated in the plates, then difficult to get the places seated on the charger. The LCD display did not accurately report the state of charging of each battery. It would show little or no charge on a battery that was fully charged. Maybe I got a lemon, but for now I will be using 2 standard chargers.
UPDATE July 21, 2012: The vendor of this item, Battery World, saw my bad review and contacted me by email. I had no problem with them - their service, packaging, etc, were excellent - but they offered to replace the product and sent me a new one. The new one works perfectly. This leaves me a little conflicted about the product. Others have had problems and so there seems to be a quality control issue, but the one I have now is great and I can't recommend Battery World high enough. They went out of their way to stand behind the product 100%.

I got this charger for my Canon 5D Mark II camera. I can honestly say this charger has made my life so much easier. Taking pictures is a large part of my job and having charged batteries quickly makes all the difference in the world. This thing charges my LP-E6's batteries extremely fast without overheating them. One of the coolest features is the battery tester that shows what percentage each of my batteries has left - this helps because in the past I was using little stickers to show which batteries were charged up. The unit feels extremely well made and you can tell it was created with the photographer in mind. The car charger and USB port are also nice add ons that I haven't fully taken advantage of yet. Highly recommend!

This is a very poor quality product with many flaws.
- The tray that you slide the battery into has no way to lock itself into place. As a result, every time you remove the battery, the tray comes off with it.
- The metal connectors that connect to the battery to do the charging are very very thin and flexible. They are about as sturdy as tinfoil. They are extremely easy to bend without even noticing it. Even the batteries will sometimes bend them when you put them on to charge.
- It does not even recognize my official Canon battery that came with my camera. It does recognize and charge my generic batteries that I have, but it acts like the Canon doesn't even exist.

This charger is a complete waste of money. If you want a good charger, look for a different one.

I decided to order this item...even though the reviews made it look like a real crap shoot. Here is my "just out of the box" feedback. My batteries are Canon LP-E6N...4 each, 2 brand new, 2 one month old.

I plugged in the unit and the display lit up showing two batteries at 0% capacity...two were actually verified in-camera to be at 98% and 94% respectively. Obviously there were not being recognized. I put in two other batteries and same thing. I removed the bottom adapter plates, reseated, jiggled, etc. but still no luck. I then put a DC volt meter to all the connections to see if there was power. There was power of the correct voltage to both sets of contacts. So, it had to be that the dual "tabs" in the charger were not making electrical contact with the corresponding receptacles in the batteries. In looking at the charging tabs on this unit, they are visibly shallower in height (vertical distance from labeled bottom of battery) than the Canon brand single battery charger I have.

So, to perhaps make some kind of electrical contact, instead of inserting the batteries as is normal...lay in flat, slide forward to key in the edge locking tabs on the battery edges...I just tilted the connection end of the battery nose down and engaged the tabs and slots. In other words the batteries on an angle, not locked into the edge guides. This changed the geometry enough to make contact on all of the batteries. I am now able to read the capacity and charge. Is the design defective? Absolutely. Is it now working as advertised? It seems so, although the capacity stated by the charger is not the same as what the camera is saying.

Very disappointed in the product. Difficult to get the batteries in and out of the plates. Sometimes both chargers worked, sometimes only one charger worked, sometimes neither worked. Returned the product.

This is the best of several types of dual chargers I've tried so far. The DualIon Accessory Genie thing worked ok, but lasted only a month or so and charges very very slowly.
This one seems to be of a better build, has a very good interactive charge display, and charges super quick. It actually charges so quickly I don't really trust it entirely.
Great deal for the price.

I wrote Amazon and the distributor. The battery adapter has the wrong attachment The LP-E6 Battery does not fit in this. Got NO reply from either. So pretty much this is useless for me and can't properly rate it since I can't use it. Would gladly change the rating if I got the correct adapter for the batteries. Since this one didn't come with it at all!
