At the present time, there is considerable interest, from both academic institutions and industry, in the development and construction of a practical device capable of the collection and storage of solar energy in the form of chemical potential.
although by no means the only way of achieving this goal,the photogeneration of hydrogen from water offers a particularly promising route and it is being actively pursued using photochemical, photoelectrochemical, and photobiological approaches. |
