Excellent Song...,
By Ace Girl (Newcastle, NSW Australia) - See all my reviews

My parents split up awhile ago and every time I see a picture of their wedding or something, I feel sad and happy at the same time. This song shows how photos capture happy moments for ever and how, no matter what, we always miss the great times we have had and, as the song says "You can't erase, you can't replace it."
This is a great song which touches the heart. It is the story of someone who misses his old life. But it is not just his story, it is yours and mine.

One of the best songs from All the Right Reasons,

Nickelback maybe is the best rock band, not just in success but in lyrics too. I don't remember anyone to have such an amazing style of writing.
"Photograph" is a perfect examble of what Nickelback can do and can show, and that's only the beginning... Wait until the end of 2006 to see what this band will show.

Moving on...,

If you've ever left anything behind, this song will probably speak to you like it did to me. It's one of those songs that let you know you're not the alone in thinking the way you do. Remember and listen.

I've bashed the band often in past, but this is a very solid
single. Very radio friendly though.

LOVE this song!,

LOVE the lyrics. So poignant and "real life." Appreciate the heartfelt and ragged edged lead voice that says he's lived the lyrics. Especially love the LIVE version on All the Right Reasons and all the instrumental and vocal layering. Thank you for this song - it's one of the ones I keep punching to play ...just one more time. It makes me smile and cry at the same time! And consider the journey of my life.

This song is probably not for children. Any of us who in quiet moments take that trek back to days that were simpler in some ways and charged with the emotions of youth can relate to this song. It is well thought and well written. The lead singer has a unique voice but it is not upleasant in any way.

Nickel haaaaack!,

Good grief, this song is just uncomprehensibly lame-o. The "singer' cannot sing. His voice sounds like his larynx was cut open and each spurt of vocals sounds like a dying gasp. The melody also is terrible and the song annoys me to death almost. If I was handed this single it would be shards in moments. That is all.

I'm going to pretend people didn't rate this five stars,

Come on! This song is so lame in every aspect! The singer's voice is raspy and annoying, and the melody is intensely annoying. It is not catchy, it is terrible lyrics, and is not worth rating one star. It shouldn't be a hit! IT ROTS, LIKE EVERYTHING ON THE HIT STATION THESE DAYS.
The only good Nickelback song out there is "Animals". Listen to that if you want, but never listen to this atrocity. If you ever see the single, spit on it and grind it into the dirt. It's that bad, no joke. |
