This book is exactly what I was looking for. It has a very easy to comprehend set up, and tells all of the different places that a budding, or professional photographer can submit his or her work, as well as tips on how to submit work. It also tells who is looking for what subject matter, and what level of photography will be accepted. Great buy!

This book has more information than you'll ever need to get into the photography business. It tells you step by step how to do it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the business side of photography!

If you are looking for publications like "kansas garden weekly" and "wisconsin snowmobile news", this is your book..if you are looking for information about cutting edge fashion magazines around the world, forget it!. For stock photographers it seems very useful though

Not as good as the 2006 version. Seems like there are less entries and they tried to make up for that by using a larger font, which to me doesn't look good.

Pro photographers use a variety of methods of marketing their work, from advertising to word of mouth, with each method tailored to the particular type of work that the photographer wants to do. Freelance photojournalism and fine art photography and portrait sittings all require their own brand of selling.

So, this great reference is only part of the equation, and for only a certain segment of the photographic business. You'll still need technical skills and a great eye, and the desire to sell individual images to use this book effectively. It's exhaustively researched and covers a large portion of the market. The editors have kept it up-to-date and filled not only with contact information, descriptions of individual markets, and other specifics, as well as tips on marketing your work and preparing it for submission.

If you want to make money from your images, you'll need more than just this book, but it's an excellent resource.
