This is a great color guide that is well organized with awesome professional photographs. The table of contents is as follows: introduction, wildflower regions and climate, recommended regional wildflower guides, quick guide to wildflower groups, grassland and savannah, fynbos, namaqualand, index of scientific names, index of vernacular names and glossary. As you can see from the contents the flowers are arranged by habitat type making it easy to narrow down the section you need to look. Each species account has the scientific name and common family name with a brief description, habitat and notes accompanied by a small distribution map and a beautiful picture with a monthly flowering guide bar. Highly recommended for those visiting South Africa on wildflower excursions.
