A little disappointing,
By Christo "montxsuz" (Vancouver, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Photographing People: At Home and Around the World (Paperback)
This book is the sixth in the excellent series. with Freeman Patterson responsible for most of the previous volumes. "Photographing people" is aimed at the photographer without much experience. If this is you, you will enjoy the book. The photos themselves are certainly good, and the text covers all the common-sense issues encountered when photographing people.
If you are looking for a book that gives advice about complex lighting setups for portraits (eg multiple flash units and/or reflectors and diffusers), then this book is not for you. And personally I did not expect yet another book to tell me what kinds of camera equipment I need. This section covers roughly a third of the book. |
