Book Description

Natural World June 29, 1990
Photographing Wildflowers represents the first opportunity to learn from the Blacklocks. The book progresses logically through the steps of finding a subject, choosing equipment, depth of field and focusing exposure, the aesthetics of different types of light, ways to control light, and recording information in a way that will help you learn. In the chapter on the forest floor, Craig and Nadine present a wealth of technical and aesthetic tips on photographing nonflower closeup subjects ranging from mushrooms to ice. This is a book that will gently ease the reader along to a firm grasp of the physics of closeup photography, while giving the specific techniques that have long made the Blacklocks images stand out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Photographing wildflowers, September 13, 2011
This review is from: Photographing Wildflowers: Techniques for the Advanced Amateur and Professional (Natural World) (Paperback)
This is without doubt one of the best books on the subject & it's a great pity that it is not to be reprinted. I've been teaching this subject for over 25 years & have yet to find a better book to recommend to those participating in my courses. It's comprehensive & has some very practical advice on how to get the best results.
