ok, maybe that title makes me sound old, but im only 21. Anyways, this album is a lot more mature, and this album shows it. I personally liked their older stuff better, but these tracks are just as catchy as their old stuff if you leave it in your player enough :) And damn, there's even a DVD included. good deal!

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING,

I have been listening to Mest since the year 2000, I own every other MEST cd to date and have not been disapointed by one yet.
The new album PHOTOGRAPHS is a different swing for MEST from there previous albums. The new release dives into much deeper issues and sounds like it is comming straight from the heart. The entire album is breath taking, every single song different but great in its own sense, catchy guitar riffs, hard singing, soft singing and harmonys like no others. This album is one that stands out and will be remembered for a long time to come. Absolutely amazing. -Davo

I have liked Mest since i got there self titled release. I think they are a great band that has gone through a lot. Many of their songs on their previous albums were about partying and girls, but this album really seems to be deep and moving. The lyrics are thought provoking, and I can tell they put their heart, soul, sweat, and blood into this album...it paid off! I predict that Photographs, will make Mest a worldwide sensation, I actually saw a commercial for this album. I have NEVER before that seen a Mest anything on tv. They are great people and they deserve all the success they are sure to get from this album.

Chicago Band Proves Wrong Once Again With 'Photographs',

I have to say that this is definately one of Mests best albums. Do not believe what you hear seeing as there are a lot of people out there dissing this album. Tony Lovato's voice sounds amazing and the instrumental will leave you awed. Not to mention the lyrics are great. If you are looking for a CD that you will enjoy from start to finish then MESTs Photographs is for you.

Mest has been one of my favorite bands for i dont know how long. They are completely amazing and it seems that every album gets better and better, like they are becoming more musically talented. This album is completely amazing and i am shocked. I love this album and i think it should get the recognition that it deserves. It can relate to anybody and it just sounds better then They have ever sounded before. I have listened to the album at least twice a day, at the minimum. It may sound pathetic but i love this cd, and this band. Mest frigging rocks, check them out, its worth it.. Good job guys.

i bought the cd yesterday, the day it came out, and i havent stopped listening to it. It's such a well put together cd, songs that really stick out for me are: Take Me Away, Kiss Me Kill Me, Graveyard, As His Black Heart Dies, and Nightmare. Those are the songs i consider my favorite on the cd and thats almost half the cd. The rest of the songs are really good too. The DVD is so hilarious, all i gotta say is Nick you are sick lol. But anyway, if you are a true MEST fan you will definately buy this CD/DVD, i promise you will not be disappointed. SO GO BUY IT!!

Honestly, MEST is personally one of the greatest bands of my time. To see them live is more of a privledge then experience. "Photographs" is just another prime reason why these guys are still around and doing what we all love them to do with more heart then all of their fan base combined. This album rules, the DVD is sooo damn classic that it alone is even worth the 12.99. Awesome job to all in Mest for never letting me down. see you at the show.

All Growed Up with MEST,

Well they've done it again! Their fifth record in a decade, and still managed to maintain the same brilliant sound yet with new catchy songs, breathtaking riffs and thoughtprovoking lyrics. For MEST have grown up and grown as a band with this latest album "Photographs". It takes a deeper look into singer Tony Lovato's life, especially the last 3 years which have been difficult for him through stress and illness, almost a soundtrack to his memories, yet still managing to make fans embrace the songs as a way of remembering their own memories. MEST are still as brilliant as ever - go buy "Photographs" today.

it's the best of mest yet,
This review is from: Photographs (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
For those who have been following Mest throughout other albums, you will not be disappointed with the sound that has evolved into on this album. While still keeping their trademark sound, they brought in a few new elements, putting together their best CD yet.
For those who are new to Mest, this is a great place to start. I myself have recommended to people who never of them before, or weren't into them at all into giving this album a listen since I got it and not one hasn't gone to buy it for themselves. The entire album has a little bit of something for anybody. It's an especially good album to listen to while getting over a bad break up (songs like `Photographs, Cursed, As His Black Heart Dies...) or if you happen to be miserably in love with someone (See tracks: Nightmare, Last Kiss, Dying for You) |
