What you get from this company is a box with instructions how to order the blanket. Amazon does ship the box of instructions free, but then the company wanted an additional $39.00 to ship the blanket.

They should specify that you are buying a KIT from Amazon that you receive which allows you to then order the blanket from the company. I was hoping to have this for Christmas and it's going to take another 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. I guess I'll be giving my parents and IOU for Christmas. I'm really upset that it appeared as if I was ordering the blanket this one time and there would be an option to submit my picture.

I've purchased 3 of these and have been pleased with the quality of the throw and the print. I've done both black and white and color pictures and no complaints at all.

I read about some of the delays in processing but they must have they worked out now. I've received my orders in less than 2 weeks.

I highly recommend this product. Got the first one as a gift for my parents. Anything I get them never seems to excite them. I put a family photo on the throw and they absolutely loved it. It has become a conversation item as well by anyone who sees it.

I absolutely love the blanket I ordered. It was a christmas present for my sister. I ordered it two weeks before christmas but it didn't arrive on time. The only complaint I have about this product is the ordering process. What you are buying from Amazon is a kit which I received within a few days of ordering. The kit give you the ordering information, by phone or online. I chose to order it online and the instructions were very easy to follow and only took a few minutes. I was able to upload the picture I wanted to use and I was done. Once I placed the real order I received the blanket within 2 weeks. I just don't understand why they couldn't give me the web and ordering info electronically to save time. Some of the other reviews said that you had to pay an extra shipping fee once you entered all of the info on the website. That isn't true for me. The Amazon price is exactly what I paid. The picture I used did not meet the recommended specs but it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Better than I expected. I would definately order this product again and recommend it to all of my friends.

I wanted this blanket for my Mother for Christmas. She lives in the UK so I ordered it a month prior to when I would need to mail it. It arrived one week later and it is everything the company said it would be. I was amazed at the quality, it is truly beautiful. I chose a photo of her and her dog and I know she is just going to love it.

This would make a brilliant gift for a new born or newly weds. What a great way to create family heirlooms.

I have one small complaint. When you order the blanket online, you don't get an email or anything to say it was successful. If the company could correct that part then my mind would have been at ease. Thank you Amazon and My Photos to Throw.

I read the first two reviews that complained about things. Don't go by those. I tried to do a blanket with another company and after 6 weeks I still hadn't seen the kit to complete. I ordered this on Amazon and am so happy I took the chance! I got the boxes the day before Thanksgiving and went on line to order right away because of the 4 - 6 week shipping notice. First, I was not asked to pay more for shipping. It was included in the price I paid Amazon. Second, it is a kit. It was a box with the information needed and directions on how to submit your picture. Since I did mine online it was very simple and I had two blankets ordered in less than 15 minutes. Then the worry set in if I would receive them in time for Christmas. I called the company to see if I could expedite things and pay a little more. The wonderful woman I spoke with on the phone eased my mind. She said the blankets were already in production and there shouldn't be a problem with getting them before Christmas she said paying extra wasn't an option. That was the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The blankets were delivered and in my hands on Friday basically a week after I ordered them. Both blankets!!! The only suggestion I would make to this company is to ship them in a box instead of a bag envelope. The blankets weren't damaged but I could see that occuring. Now when I opened up the blankets it was amazing how the likeness was to the photo. You can see where one child had missing teeth because they had recently fallen out and another child had braces that's how concise it was. I started to cry it was so wonderful. One blanket is for me and the other is going to a parent for Christmas. I know they will be as excited as I was. Now the only hard part is keeping my mouth shut until they open the gift on Christmas. Since I had to show someone I shared it with my co-workers. Comparing the photo side by side with the blanket. They picked out the lipstick color was the same on one person, the shading and lighting of the colors were almost exact. I was in the photo and my friends were looking back and forth at the blanket and then at me in real life and were blown away by the likeness!

The first two reviews were correct, you do get a box with a passcode, then must upload your photo to their website. It does state 4-6 weeks, but I had mine back in less than 2 weeks, and that was just before Christmas. The quality of the throw is amazing. The photo of my mom and my four sons was transformed into a keepsake that my she will treasure forever. Was it worth paying for the throw and extra shipping? ABSOLUTELY!!!
