Exceptional Learning Tool,

This review is from: Photoshop CS2 : Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks (Paperback)
Find exactly what you need to do in Photoshop and follow the easy illustrated steps. There is no need to read the book, got a difficult project, look it up and it is finished in no time at all. This book contains tips & tricks used by Photoshop Pros worldwide.
I purchased three of these books (for myself and two friends). Lynette Kent has an easy to follow writing style. I look forward to new books by her.

Secrets We Don't Want People to Know About,
By Rick Redfern "Flexible Flyer" (Orange County, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Photoshop CS2 : Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks (Paperback)
As a Photoshop User and Printmaker, this book gives away a lot of secrets that most photographers do not want the general public to know. Three quick examples come to mind. # 80 - Paint a Digital Watercolor, # 85 - Give a Photo an Artistic Edge, and #89 - Make a Photo Look Like a Gallery Print. Luckily, I have told my clients that I created these effects with the computer. I can sleep at night knowing that my clients were aware of this. Woe to the photographer who charged an outrageous fee and did not tell his client that these were relatively easy to perform with Photoshop. I also learned how to create a very cool shadow with # 69. Thanks, Lynette!

Another great addition to my Photoshop Books,
By Sam Johnson "Sam" (Troy, MI USA) - See all my reviews

Lynette has done a great job digging out some of the most hard to find tips and tricks to help me with Photoshop CS2. There are so many Photoshop books out there, but Lynette's easy to understand, yet powerful tips have already helped me in things I do with Photoshop everyday. I recommend this book to all Photoshop users.

An excellent resource,

I purchased this book soon after I acquired a "beginners guide" to Photoshop CS2. Like most people, I wanted to apply some PS techniques to my images straight away. The "Top 100" tricks includes the majority of techniques I require and actually helps to understand the theory of the more formal beginners guide. This book does not assume that the reader knows all the terms and tools and by following the very clearly illustrated step by step instructions, even newbies to PS can achieve startling results. I've scouted round bookshops looking at the numerous PS CS2 publications - this is as good as any and better than most.

A Constant Reference,
By
This review is from: Photoshop CS2 : Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks (Paperback)
I am regularly using Photoshop and am regularly referencing this book on technique. It's easy to use, easy to find what you want to do, easy to follow! I hate reading through loads of text to get a result, this books gets me straight there. There are a few more complex/creative techniques it does not go into, for which I then refer to "Secrets of the Digital Darkroom" by Peter Cope (which I also love) - but this is always my first point of reference due to it's simplicity to follow.

Great product,
This review is from: Photoshop CS2 : Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks (Paperback)
I bought this product about a week ago. Im somewhat familiar with photoshop cs2, but know-where near an expert. This book opened my eyes to all type of creative ideas. The tricks that are in this book are easy to follow, thanks to the step by step tutorial. The tricks that I thought i knew, thanks to this this book i found easier ways to complete a project with less time. If you are a beginner I strongly suggest this book. If you are an intermeidate I strongly suggest this book.
The only thing i wish is that they were actaully 100 tricks. Few tricks are your computer settings. A few other tricks are plug-ins, you must have plug-ins to complete about 5 or so tricks. This is nothing to worry about, because this book compensates for that. You can not beat the price for this book! GREAT BUY

This is a wonderful book for those of us that learn by SEEING rather than just reading words on a page. Each project takes you step by step from start to finish. You see every screen. Listed in oder, it is easy to follow. Excellent for those of us "cyber challenged" users.

Easy to Follow,
This review is from: Photoshop CS2 : Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks (Paperback)
I gave this book only four stars as it was a little to basic for me. This was the only reason!
There is lots of valuable information and it is very easy to follow the instructions to get the desired results/effects. Some things I had already learned either on my own, from another book, or from a two day Photoshop CS2 class I took. Would recommend to beginners or maybe beginner/intermediate looking to expand with fast tips. I bought "Hacking Photoshop CS2" use off of Ebay, Amazon has them new, but this book really paid for itself just in the first chapter of tweaking the Photoshop preferences, etc. Starts up noticiably faster on my laptop now! Would recommend that book highly for intermediates and up.
