5.0 out of 5 stars This is a very good book!, April 25, 2009

This review is from: Photoshop CS4 All-in-One For Dummies (Paperback)
I've used every version of Photoshop since 3. I would be embarrassed to admit how many PhotoShop books I've bought and read. Somehow, I thought I would be beyond a "Dummmies" book but I was wrong. This is a very good book. It is reasonably thorough with just under 700 pages even though it is done in a concise fashion. It is beautifully organized and the writing is clear and crisp. There is excellent use of instructional images and graphics.

I'm very glad I didn't miss this great book. If you want to get serious about learning PhotoShop CS4, you can't go wrong here.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was looking for., October 26, 2009

This review is from: Photoshop CS4 All-in-One For Dummies (Paperback)
I purchased this book looking for a good beginners guide to editing photos in PSCS4, however this book is just not it. If you want to know EVERYTHING the program does, then perhaps this is the book for you, as it will touch on most everything. But if you are looking for a book to teach you specifically how to edit photos and use tricks of the trade, I would check elsewhere.
