The Photoshop Down and Dirty Tricks books are my absolute favorites of all PS books and I own them all. Unfortunately Mr. Kelby has gotten so busy that he is no longer doing them, having watched both CS2 and CS3 announce dates expire. Bummer. The NAPP folks would prefer you learn on their website, which is fine and good, but some people prefer books! If you can get your hands on any one of these, do. Photoshop basics never change. These books are fun and informative!

Scott Kelby's stuff is awesome. I cannot believe how much I have benefited from his teaching. I bought this DVD and book when it first came out a few years ago, and have been a huge fan ever since. This is a replacement DVD, because the one I had before broke from overuse and my own clumsiness in transporting it to the coffee shop. I was so happy that Amazon still had this available. The DVD is like going to one of the Down and Dirty Tricks seminars, except you don't have to hurry up and take notes, you can come back to it over and over. If you have an interest in Photoshop at all, this DVD will have you looking like an expert in no time. Because of the tutorials in the book and DVD, I have been able to turn my hobby of building websites into a regular income generator. Clients love the way the way I create the graphics. And it's because of Scott Kelby. Believe me, when you follow along with Scott and see what you can accomplish, Photoshop becomes addictive. I've since purchased everything that Scott Kelby writes. His writing style is fun, lighthearted, not intimidating, very inspiring, and on the DVD just seems like a cool, laid back guy you would enjoy having as a friend. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
